Worst part of Oracle of Ages? Because I'm finding it hard to find a worse part of the game. The trading sequence on the island wasn't as bad as I recall, but this one and the Mermaid Cave are just so boring and awful that it's making me hate replaying this game.

When I was younger I hated it because I lose everything and had to buy them all back, but with this replay it's actually pretty fun. Especially when you plant the Scent Seed tree, and especially when you have a linked game and meet the Subrosian.

But these dungeons are trying my patience.

I remember a friend having a cartridge where he was completely unable to save his game. We always tried to get as far as possible.

The trading is where we just gave up though.

Overall, Seasons just IS more fun. Dem magnetic gloves.

I agree with everybody else, Seasons is way better than Ages. More interesting items, more interesting central mechanic, better music.. and fuck the mermaid suit. If I were grading it out of 5 stars or something, the existence of that alone would be enough to make it drop a star.

The two things it has over Seasons are the Seed Shooter and Cane of Somaria. Loved that thing and loved bouncing seeds off of walls, but the Cane was only used really sparsely.
