Emulate the 64 because you don't need the ISOs or deal burning backups and you can make any modern USB capable controller work for pretty much any N64 game. Anyone telling you otherwise is a mouth breather who probably never had to calibrate a 2 button joystick...

Shadows of the Empire is widely considered one of the more difficult games to get working with Emulation...I figured out how to do it in a matter of a few Google searches. Played the game without a single problem to completion over the course of an afternoon. It was actually better* than I remembered it.

FURTHERMORE- while analog stick on 64 controllers was awesome, and playing a game with a brand new controller was a sublime feeling.. the sticks themselves wear out fairly easily. Using a worn out 64 stick is one of the single worst things ever within the context of vidya.

Collect for PS1 as there were as many games for it made as there are grains of sand on earth...you're pretty much bound to find whatever it is your looking for.

Just Ignore the Saturn unless you're really fixated imports you'll have no clue how to understand (cuz moonspeak), it brings very little to the table in comparison to the PS1.

The Jaguar and 3DO are niche collectors (retards who like to waste money) items with little or no redeeming qualities and are even more irrelevant today as they were when they first came out.

The point is that a console official designated 'PSX' exists. At no point past early prototype development did Sony use the designation 'PSX' for the original PlayStation. The only reason people call the original PS a 'PSX' is because a few gaming magazines speculated on the new console before it was released and the people who read these articles never corrected their terminology after it was released.
