Pinball Fantasies on MS-DOS blew my mind for putting out Sound Blaster quality sound from the PC speaker. Game was pretty fun too.

Star Trek TNG, followed by the Tron Legacy pinball game. Both just struck a cord with me.

I love it when the artists get creative with Pinball machines.

It seems space ones seem to work well.

id love to get a few machines for myself and learn to work on them

im sure approaching 50 year old men and asking that they share their secrets would come off a tad creepy though

I really enjoy Gottlieb's Haunted House.

Are there any radically different pinball machines? Most seem like simple reskins of others, which is fine, but a pinball machine has so much potential for something different, and possibly more elaborate. I wouldn't mind shaking up my gameplay, and getting that 'new' feel and excitement again with pinball.

Safecracker is probably the most creative pinball machine I've ever seen, though I'm sure there are even more crazy examples out there.

i love subfields

ive always wanted to see somebody try to incorporate a field into the backglass. it wouldnt even have to be contiguous with the normal field, you could just activate it by locking the ball in a special trap on the field that "teleports" you to the upper field for some crazy incline shenanigans

The only machine I remember playing was either Attack or Revenge from Mars, but I got Timeshock! / The Web double package when I was young and been hooked with the Pro Pinball series ever since.

Few days ago I tried TPA once again in a while for few tables, but the physics just aren't good enough. Doing live catches or any subtle movements (like backhanding or flick passes) is impossible while doing a post transfer is way too easy. Once the ball passed through the walls of the cabinet (Black Knight 2000) and flew outside the machine which felt fucking surreal.

Isn't there a bunch of stuff missing off that Dr Who? I seem to remember some extra rails and a toy Dalek chilling around the top.

Or I might just be old and crazy.
