Marianon here. That all makes sense, especially the drawing pals bit- I can imagine how having friends who are supportive (as opposed to, say, condescending) on the path of progress could work wonders.

But what I feel I must ask of you is, how did you get so fast?
I've always had aspirations of drawfagging myself, but even with a tablet I'd always get caught up in erasing and worrying about small details that everything would end up sloppy, with people telling me it'd look better if I went faster.

You, though- your stuff seems to have this wave of confidence to it, like you almost never MAKE mistakes to erase to begin with.
Besides the obvious "practice more," any clue what brought you to that point? I'm genuinely curious to hear your take on it.

But so this post isn't just wasting thread space, I'll make another request: A sad Territorial Oak from Earthbound surrounded by teddy bear fluff, wallowing in its crippling loneliness. Charred teddy bears maybe?
I'm content with what I got though, so by all means prioritize everything else first.

If i have you give you any advice, would be: do it. The first drawthread i did was on /x/ a while ago, I did very sloppy stuff, but people liked it anyway, so it gave me confidence to continue. Then i made a couple of drawthreads more there, and then migrated here. And well, I actually do an awfull lot of mistakes, but correcting them on the way is part of the thing.
tl;dr By doing stuff you'll get more confidence and precision over time, it doesn't matter if you star slowly at fist, time will do, so don't give up, Anon!

It's still being used. But regardless, it seems like Kaufman, WayForward's in-house musician, like to use "ironic" a lot. Like in his interview in a Game Informer I believe issue, he referred to making Neon's music "ironically 80's", and commented that Contra 4's music "was, ironically, an un-ironic approach". He does say this, not sure what issue it was. I guess this was around the time MSF or MSFHD came out?
