I just completed a test to verify on Ultraviolence.

I was mistaken, it took 3 to 5 shots to kill an Imp. I must have held down fire for longer than I needed. A user on Zandronum reported running out of ammo too quickly with the AmmoBox50 and judging from the sick maths I pulled they're just wasting ammunition.

Should the mod compensate for missed shots when firing speeds are this high? I figure it wouldn't be a terrible modification to boost ammo.

The reload animation is interesting at best for me because it feels deliberately slow, especially that last hand jerk to cock it. If Mel at least appeared to have a sense of urgency it might not bother me as much, outside of Deathmatch.

You could always have the sword equipped, and the items could be for secondary fires.
the items I could think of:
Shield: block projectiles, but stops movement, kinda like the nes games, maybe reflect projectiles, like OOT
Slingshot: weak hitscan
Bow: fast medium strength projectile
Bomb: tap mouse to drop, hold to throw
Pegasus boots: dash attack
Fire rod: Slow, powerful projectile

I've never had ammo issues with Space Pirate so far outside of pistol ammo, and that's because that comes in 5s.

I've been playing this alpha with as many things as I could on UV since I enjoy it a lot.

This is what I've found:
Shotgun is reliable as fuck
Uzi(Ammobox?) is reliable as fuck but ammo can be a bit of an issue unless you're dealing with Chaingunners. Since it comes in 25s and deals above average damage it's really useful.
Pistol is decent but ammo drains pretty quickly if it's your main gun
Melee is really useful.

At the start before a shotgun I use the pistol to kill zomboes and punch/kick the crap out of anything that isn't a Hitscanner.
Once I get a Shotgun/Uzi I'm set until anything with Baron of Hell tiers of HP becomes common.

Now keep in mind I don't toss myself into something like slaughter maps or Thy Flesh Consumed just because of the sheer count of Barons without stronger weapons available.

But so far I do think the weapons are balanced. The pistol just needs a little bit more.
I think Dual wielding pistols will be enough to make it reliable, but for ammo it could easily be a weapon that would be absolutely swimming in ammo.

He must have sorted it out because we saw him later trying to walk away from a booth with like sixteen sailor moon action figures without paying. The lady at the booth was very nice about it and professional and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. The entire bus ride home he kept farting and complaining about zandronum (which he calls "AndromeDUMB") and it's client-server architecture. I've seen a lot of comments here that seemed focused on stretching a narrow selection over an entire community. Okay, sure, why do I care? Well, for one main reason:

There's really not enough off-site groups that pay heed to the creations of the ZDoom community, and I'd rather not have people driven away by one disagreeable fellow when it could impact how played my fellow Zdoomers' works are ( and I won't say I don't care about my own, but, well, that requires finishing them )

And I do feel I need to clarify for the sake of my friends, pretty much everyone who wasn't Edward in that Crazy Doom video: they didn't know they were being recorded. They were just playing together for fun. If they were actually planning on presenting their criticism to the author, they would've done it in a more, well, criticism-like manner. Take that as you will.

Frankly, I'm not trying to pin all this on Edward, who's already demonized on here enough, I feel. But I will be perfectly blunt and say he's not always pleasant. He's not the only who's like that, either, but that's really not the majority of the community.

I wonder why people are so excited that someone decided to play through Plutonia@Map32, it's not hard unless you attract rockets like stupid magnet. Almost every cyberdemon pack can be beaten in cheesy way with plasmagun spam from the hallways they cannot fit in and you have enough ammo/cyberdemons to sweep every moving thing on the level including said cyberdemons. Though if someone tries to complete it quickly it becomes a real mess and he really wants to 2shot cybies at yellow/blue skull doors. IMO run through HR2@map32 or SoD@Map32 would be more... tricky to pull out, but it'd be as much exciting on the other hand.

I don't think you can, you can have 26 animations for one sprite or something, the amount of letters for the alphabet
you could try and trick it by making subtle jump states, but I really don't advise jump states

I thought of them as being techlamps that got converted, but I suppose the demons could have carted them along with them to do some decorating.

If you want to get sperggy though, you should start with the bases being on Phobos and Deimos. Neither is anywhere large enough to have a base on it or even have gravity capable of keeping a human from floating off into space.

Plasma makes short work of fucking errything
mighty morphin trapezoid action bombs are stronk as fuck too
Spazer is also mondo good, kills pretty damn fast everything with not huge bloated hp
Wave feels the weakest unless charged which deals a lot of damage
Long beam is pretty good too
Ice beam in my opinion felt really shafted for CO-OP all around

But holy shit plasma beam decimates just everything in its range, and is almost godlike when charged

New to playing Doom online. There was a wad i played, you had to take on a couple of thousand enemies and defend a base. You could buy weapon packs, mechs and buildings and the enemies came in waves, had a fuckin kickass soundtrack. Any idea how i find it again?
