Found some weird atari stuff at a yard sale for next to nothing. Dude got it from a storage locker auction. Any ideas what some of this is worth? cant really find it in the usual places.

closeup of carts

>> No.1254152

the inside of the binder says:
to: Jaqueline Sommers - consumer electronics division

I also got a cx70 light pen. Can't really price that either. And the last weird thing is this "controller" called the atarilab interface??

no clue. got it all for 20 bucks

>> No.1254185

looks somewhat valuable. keep at it. if you are just looking to unload it then set up an ebay auction and go for it. maybe someone will know what it is and bid. do you have an atari machine to test it on?

>> No.1254196

Looks like some internal atari corporate stuff.

if they guy bought it at a storage locker he probably already discovered himself it's not worth that much, and i don't think it's likely worth much myself.

I was really into doing the yardsale thing a few years ago, there's lot of unique rare stuff that would be valuable except no one particularly wants it and i think this stuff falls into that category.

>> No.1254205

Fuck OP, you might of struck gold here but I have no idea. The one cart looks like a prototype cart of some kind, got a 2600 to try them out on?

>> No.1254217

>>1254216
Then what are they? Unknown?

>> No.1254216

>>1254205
Those are not 2600 carts.

Look like Atari 400/800 (8-bit computer) carts.

>> No.1254261

>ATARI CONFIDENTIAL
>Corporate Policy Manual

That stuff looks like gold OP. Do some research online and find some more details on that stuff.

>> No.1254303

Not sure how much it's worth but it's definitely valuable. Post it on Atari Age.

>> No.1254326

That AtariWriter prototype could be worth a bundle if it hasn't been dumped. Add to that the corporate policy manual and other authentic period stuff and you're looking at hundreds, if not thousands (don't get too excited till you check it out) of dollars.

>Atari Corporate Policy Manual
I don't know why, but that made me chuckle.

Is there anything in it? It looks like an empty binder.

Did a quick google search for the atariwriter prototype and found this auction. You're pretty lucky, OP.

Sup, OP, development/prototype collector here.

>>1254148
The carts aren't worth much, considering that they're not really prototypes, but demo cartridges, which were often used in store kiosks, or used during meetings to show off which games your team was working on at the time. You're looking at between 25$ - 55$ each, to the very most. The demand for them isn't high enough, considering how many of them are floating around.
>>1254152
Binder and the other stuff ain't worth a lot either, and neither is the pen. The controller you speak of doesn't seem to be in the picture? Care to upload some clear shots of it, and I'll tell you if I recognise what it is, and what it's worth.

The stuff you have is mainly just executive stuff that was likely left over from an office clear out. None of it has any substantial value, but if I were you, I'd hold onto them, just because they're kinda cool to own.

Pic sorta' related. Some PS2 debuggers.

>> No.1254634

OP here. My phone is dead, but ill post some more pictures after a while once it's charged. The carts are 400/800 (hence the vhs "selling the 400/800). The binder is empty, but it does have a sticker on the inside that has the employee name (Jacqueline Sommers)

Are you sure the pen isn't worth much? I saw a thread where someone was looking at one for around 100 bucks.

Oh, almost forgot. I got a sega cdx for 10 bucks.

>sega cdx for 10 bucks
How the fuck did you manage that?

The pens ain't worth too much, I've seen them on eBay selling for under 40$ before.

No, you're not. Doing things like that is the only way to get retro shit at a decent price anymore. Had he know what it was, he would have inflated the price beyond its worth. You done good, anon.
