A while ago somebody asked for a RPG where you play a girl raping other girls and I finally have the answer.
Lightning Warrior Raidy is a simplistic dungeon crawler where typically the level boss is a monster girl abusing captives and when you defeat them it's your turn to abuse them instead. The normal opponents are also monster girls that get stripped upon losing.
The Windows XP remakes of the first two games have been translated into English by JAST.

What retro erotic games have you played?
Is anyone else looking for specific recommendations?

Raidy is a pretty bad game, even the remake. It has some interesting stuff in it though.

I somewhat preferred the first game since the lack of shop, inn and automap added a bit of challenge and it was shorter and fully voiced but the general lack of options and unbalanced level system cripple it and graphically it doesn't stand out either.

Holy fuck. I've played several of these back when I was a horny teenager on dialup.

I remember Season of the Sakura being casted by knock-off characters from popular 90s anime.

I tried to play Casual Romance Club but the language mix and interface has stopped me so far. Even with original name activated a lot of the display retains the Americanized versions.

Oh man, I've wanted to play maid's story for a long time, and now that I've finally gotten the chance...

It's real fucking simple, I seriously wanted to play through the game without trying for any H-scenes, but this is...

Anyways Devi-dead is on there, and that's A-OK.

I played the Dragon Knight series, none of them have proper translations in english though. The only one translated is the third entry as Knights of Xentar, but they changed the plot a lot on the localization AFAIK.

Don't you DARE speak ill of that, the voice acting on that was absolutely beautiful and one of those games I must recommend to people even if they don't like anime porn. The english dubbed version is just so damn amazing.

Youjuu Senki/Pretty Soldier Wars 2048, both the remake and the original. It's a squad game about an all-female police team fighting aliens and rescuing tentacle victims.
The remake had better gameplay since lines of fire added more depth to the rather primitive tactics of plug chokepoint, shoot enemy and gave more detailed information on the stats.
Graphics wise I preferred the original. The CG were partially animated and you didn't need to rotate the map to see everything.
Both versions were voiced but the original had poor sound quality.
The story and H-scenes are ridiculously rushed in both versions.

The plot didn't seem that far from the original form what I could tell.

Not played many, for sure, but i got into the Rance series in a huge way due to Sengoku Rance a year ago. It has become my fifth favorite game of all time, replacing Dark Chronicle.

Currently playing the oldies chronologically though this (progressively) fantastic series. Onto Rance IV (1993) but after that hasnt been translated yet, which is a shame.

Is that the one with Evangwlion characters? Rei and Asuka?

>> No.1211596

>>1211401
Yeah, it has obvious references to them in it.

Unfortunately some of the really early erogames are a massive pain in the ass to play, even with the asenheim helpers, because of the INSANE systems they added to try and make the games more 'interactive'. I still love Divi-Dead for many reasons but I will never actually see all the paths in that game because it is too painful to play all the way through it more than once a decade.

There's a Let's Play of one path through Divi-Dead here: http://brokenforum.com/index.php?threads/the-scent-of-madness-lets-play-divi-dead.5290/

If anyone would do a similar followup with the B scenario so the whole thing could be read online, how marvelous that would be!

>> No.1211673

>>1211596
>so the whole thing could be read online
I'm not following. The game is entirely online. All you need to do to find your way into a route is use a walkthrough to pick the right choices.
It really isn't that hard.

>> No.1211693

>>1211673
No, you're not following. The point is that it takes forever and a lot of pointless clicking walking through the same areas over and over and over again. Especially considering how little the different paths vary in content, and how early in the game you have to restart from in order to get the other option. If you could fast-skip to the tiny handful of real choices in the game on replay, it would be a very different situation.

It's not hard in terms of difficulty, it's a pain in terms of time and carpal tunnel.

Like any other Let's Play, sometimes you just want to sit back and read the story without having to go through the process of 'playing'.

Also, since the story is a mystery and a very badly translated one at that, it would be nice to have a searchable full-text version of the game to look over and compare notes on.

>>1211693
I feel similar about these interactive adventure games where you constantly need to select every option until you've exhausted them.
I almost gave up on Yu-no during the Prologue because of that system. The point&click of the main part with the added aspect of save economy made it a bit more interesting to play but a lot of it still boiled down to talking several times, running around in circles and clicking wildly around the screen when stuck.

Just finished Cobra Mission: Panic in Cobra City which was apparently the first eroge translated for the US market.
Beyond that it's notable for the combat system requiring you to manually aim in real time while the enemy gauge charges up.
Does anybody know if the original was for the MSX or PC-88?

Night Slave for the PC-98. It plays like Metal Warriors or the Assault Suits series and has intermittent scenes of lesbian bondage.

If you're talking about how the game chugs along and has bad hit detection, I'm pretty sure that's the way the game is supposed to be. The PC-98 is not a platform that is designed to do the sort of scrolling effects the game is filled with.

Yeah, I just do not think it exists on the Internet anymore. I have been looking for the original of that image one year longer than I have been married; makes it really easy to keep track of how long I have been at it.

I MAY have a copy of it in some ZIP disk I found in my ancient collection of random shit, but I do not have a ZIP drive to read the thing and they are far too fucking expensive for me to get a hold of one.

Nocturnal Illusion still stands out to me as a game with a unique atmosphere. Simple in a way, but the philosophical aspect is intriguing.

Also Tokimeki Check-In! stood out in the visual novel category. Very nice game overall with various characters, and also some gloomy/unexpected side-plots to discover.

Loved the atmosphere and references to Western fairy tales in Nocturnal Illusion.

Tokimeki Check-in! just didn't do much for me. The game seemed like it couldn't make up its mind on whether it wanted to be a mindless sex-romp or have a story.

Divi Dead is a classic from those heavily drawn graphics to the well-paced thriller story.

A lot of the ZyX games offer some sweet animation.
