discovering hentai was weird. i knew for a fact something like it had to exist, but i had no idea it was in such a large quantity and so explicit. i also had no idea how deep the rabbit hole went, fucking tentacle porn is weird shit to a 12 year old. of course that sort of stuff is tame now, but still. when you first see jiggling bare anime tits, you do get this weird feeling, like the first time you saw animated blood/gore, it's just something you've never seen before due to how animation generally is in the west (of course times have changed since then with the rise of cartoons like south park and family guy)

also i'll never forget the night i installed some hentai program or whatever the hell it was (i think it played short videos?) on the FAMILY COMPUTER and snuck on at night to try and delete it.

Holy fuck, that site is still around? I remember searching EVERYWHERE for a rip of Shining Force CD when I was younger cause I loved the first 2 games. I come across this site, and find a hidden download he put for it in the screenshot section haha. Funny now you can just type it in google + rom/iso and be given hundreds of results.

Also introduced me to some a few games like Bahamut Lagoon and Live-A-Live.

I can find a LOT of my old internet activity online. No big deal, as I was largely easily irritated with people, but not allcaps rage bullshit, so it's not embarrassing. Though once I had one of my recent tech questions answered by a post I had made YEARS ago. Crazy.

I made the HOMEPAGE OF THE OLDTERNET. I should update it, but nobody else has webspace, and thus, cannot make their own oldternet pages so I can link to them. Feh.

Search for likely filenames or filename fragments, "index of", "last modified", "parent directory", and subtract shit like "free" and "cool" and other BS. You'll find shitloads of ROMs, MP3s, and other nice stuff sitting in abandoned college directories. Just remember that old DOS filename requirements are 8.3, and if it's a truncated name, it would be like Shinin~1.zip or something.

Typical juvenile internet vandalism, right? But the funny part was, NONE of her friends or family thought it was a hack. The comment section was like:

>When we hung out, I never would have guessed that's what you're like... hm, well, it's your life, but you might regret it someday, just sayin'
>OMG is that you in the pic? D: EWWWWW
>wtf Christine, how is this creative?

It let you pick your character and army type I believe, I definitely remember vampires being a thing but not much else. Anyways you were allotted so many resources and actions per day depending on a few factors but it also tried to rip you off by paying for more resources with credit card. I remember I sucked at it because anyone "good" was putting money into it. It was called like "Armageddon" or something like that but I could be wrong. I think there have been many games like it but if anyone has any inkling what I'm talking about I'd love to know what it was I played. FUCK YEAH
KID MOTHERFUCKING RADD

http://kidradd.muddasheep.com/kidradd_guillaume/index.htm
(this updated version of the site is missing the third to last chapter, which was a nifty little bonus collection of fanart and fan music and shit)

If you have the offline archived version, you can have all the sprites from Kid Radd on your comp

Kid Radd was so fucking awesome. As the series went on and the action sequences got better, it got to a level that nowadays reminds me of Super Mario Bros. Z.

Remember when that fake grill gamer tricked everyone with that fucking stupid triforce rumor? Remember Zelda's Secret MOTHERFUCKING Ocarina? That site spooked the shit out of me. Here's an archive.

Oh, the glory of Newgrounds.

Do people still animate there? The site can't just be dead

Yep, it's still populated by animators, and hentai. I still use Newgrounds, because of the tight-knit community.
