There exists somewhere footage of me and my brother playing Ninja Gaiden 2 (we never had the first one), we're in the ice level with all the spiders and slippery floors and he just keeps saying 'this part is REALLY HARD'. Musta been 1992 or something.

Used to have my birthday parties at a local arcade. I was probably playing World Heroes.

There's pictures of me playing the LJN Wolverine NES game. TOTALLY ENGROSSED in that game I didn't realize a pic had been taken.

It's weird looking at pictures of yourself playing video games because you don't LOOK like you're having fun, even though you're having a complete blast. It's just always some stoic kid hunched over in front of a T.V..

Looking back, I can see why my parents wanted me to do something else besides video games or be on the computer, because watching someone do those things by themselves just looks strange. To someone who doesn't play video games and knows how fun they are, it's a deary-looking scene.

BUT instead of staring at a newspaper I can read the newspaper on my phone, instead of going to a computer to search for something I can use my phone to use the internet. Me and my brothers were playing and over the next year my mother bought us zelda I and II. Those games will always mean something to me.

I was like 6 in the year 2000, my brother was always a dick to me and he would always hog the Playstation. So usually I'd have to go play the Sega Genesis in the kitchen and make myself pizza sandwiches (using pepperoni for meat) and strawberry nesquik. I'd remember my mom to tell me to do my homework before I started playing the Super Nintendo when I got home.

It sucks being 10 years back in my generation since I played with my older brothers hand me down games, toys (tmnt and ghostbusters) and tv shows. But it all boils down to games kinda being more of a business than something like toy. You know, they were meant to be fun and simple. Something that complimented your own imagination.
