Couldn't find one in the catalog anymore. Picked this up between yesterday and today from two different pawns for just short of $100.

Good for you. Mediocre deal

>> No.1171816

the 2 zeldas and n64 with hookups and no controllers would of been close to $100 alone.

>> No.1171821

Not that great a deal but if you are happy that's what counts right?

>> No.1171838

The two Mario Karts did sweeten the deal quite a bit since it's been going up in price so much as of late. Plus the Indiana Jones games is pretty rare, though it's absolutely broken on the most fundamental level.

I picked up Gran Turismo and Monoply for PS1 at Goodwill yesterday for a buck a piece. They're both the GH versions, so not the best deal. They had Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Scrabble, and A Bug's Life as well, but I passed them up. I also passed up the few PS2 sports games, Madden on the Genesis loose, and a CIB My Weight Loss Coach for DS. Shopping for games at Goodwill is the pits. Maybe I'll have better luck today at the flea market and a different Goodwill.

I acquired an n64+controller(without hookups) for 11.99 and it has no ware on the controller+console.

€15, looking forward to playing Kirby, never really played any of his (its?) games.
And my GBC clones with backlight were shipped today, I hope they arrive in good condition and without import duty. It was €35 for 2, they weren't on the site anymore, but I messaged the seller and he had a few laying left that he was willing to sell to me.

Picked up OoT, Gauntlet Legends, and DK64 from a Craigslist meetup (didn't get shot) for $50, not the best deal, but less than eBay

Mario Party 3 was from eBay and sadly I had to give in to the pricing ($27.00 my aching ass)

First time posting in a thread like this.
There's only one half-decent used game shop in town and the selection of games is not great (majority is PAL PS1 games which I do not care for, being a 60 Hz whore). I did get these though:

PS1 Namco Arcade Stick: €29
PS1 Dual Shock controller: €10

The arcade stick came with a box but was incomplete. The stick is pretty good condition though - most of the wear and tear was probably from being in the shop window.

I thought these go for crazy prices on eBay but on closer inspection it's only mint in box examples. I still got it for lower than average pricing.

I bought another Dual Shock controller as the d-pad had split on my original (the left button moves independently from the rest) and was pretty worn. I had a second decent one but I suppose I might as well stock up on them while they're reasonably priced.

Now gotta choose some shmup to test out this stick properly... (I have USB adaptor so emulation is fine too)

I own one of these, in yellow. They're superior to the real GBC in every way, minus the DPAD. I might buy a few more of them for modding purposes.

Not too bad like every goodwill around me has a ps1 or a psone ranging from $5-420. (It make me lol a bit) I did manage to pick up a snes with a few dis-colored spots and a bit of plastic missing around controller port 2 for $5.

I don't even like fighters, and even I want to own that.

Also, you really overpayed on that PS1 controller, I own like 3 Dualshock PS1's and I bought them for £1.

>> No.1183731

>>1183636
I'm not big into fighters either but do like shmups, and it should be good for pretty much anything that uses digital controls and not too many buttons.

Re: the Dual Shock controller, €10 is like the default "cheap" price for anything around here in Ireland for stuff like this, unless you go to car boot sales. It's still cheaper than what I'd pay online (which usually involves shipping from the UK), and it's less used than my other two (sticks still tight with loads of rubber, buttons aren't smooth as hell).

A CEX opened recently in Limerick (never seen them in Ireland before but have been to many in the UK), and they have nothing pre-sixth-gen ;_;

>> No.1183746

>>1183731

Ah damn, Ireland is having some hard times, go to car boot sales, that's where I bought the controllers.

Yeah, they don't have anything before 6th gen, even though they do get offers for some. I talked to this guy once, and he said that they can't accept old consoles and games and stuff, not sure why, but they just can't.

Hell, they stopped selling Dreamcast games where I was, and they're probably going to get rid of 6th gen entirely soon.

If you have any Cash Converters/Generators over there, check them out. They're really good for retro stuff, I've found FF7 there for 30p, complete.

>> No.1183805

>>1183746
Yeah we have Cash Converters-like pawn shops in Ireland too but again you'd be lucky to find anything older than PS2 games, and again you'll be lucky to get anything for <€10.

I got MD syndicate in the post today, but my most interesting recent addition is pic related.

>> No.1184251

>>1184118
The shop I got the arcade stick from sells anything. They have an Intellivision and Sony Hit-Bit MSX in the shop window (among more common stuff) - shit you never see in this country. They actually have a few MSX carts (all Konami games) mixed in with a pile of SMS/MD games. But most the PS1, MD, etc. games were pretty common and average - I saw at least three copies of Mega Games I for example.

There are shops like this elsewhere around the country, but not many. Ireland is a small country - it's hard to make a living catering for such a niche market. There are some decent places online for buying/selling retro stuff, mainly adverts.ie (Craigslist-like thing).

Also, I'd rather iron my sack than get into retailing.

I was afraid it wouldn't be the sure fire road to riches it looked like.
