So far they have yet to say anything. I run Deluge (torrent client) for a seedbox as well, which uses tons of bandwidth. Basically, they don't care until they get complaints. I've been running the box itself for about two years now. I also have business tier Internet at home (120/120), so I was thinking it might be easier to setup a home server with an A record pointing to it for the larger stuff since I have quite a few TB drives I could throw into a raid system.

Yes there is. Quite a few actually. I have a license for one of the worst, too. Read up on NetWire (WireNet.1). It's the first true multi-OS Trojan. It also runs on BSD, Windows, Solaris, and OS X.

It coupled with the KBeast rootkit = you're fucked (KBeast also sets up a hidden SSH service and prevents all activities from being logged). However, I'm not running a Java applet anywhere on the site, so a JDB isn't any sort of worry. I don't include any executable files in the archives either (this includes ELF binaries and .app bundles). I also wouldn't use a domain I pay $20 a year for to spread malware with. That shit gets blacklisted fast. Be careful out there though. Just because you don't run Windows doesn't mean you're not vulnerable. In fact, if you're running a kernel older than 3.8.9, you're vulnerable to the PERF_EVENTS exploit which allows anyone to gain root access.

You can use wget. It's available for Windows as well. I'm thinking of making torrents to make it easier. Here's the wget command for those that feel like using it until I get the torrents created.

Replace <system> accordingly. The -cut-dirs flag might need to be changed. It's there to prevent wget from downloading the root (ROMs) directory.

I'm gonna aim to throw PSone and Dreamcast on a home server with a dedicated disk. Also, do you guys consider the Dreamcast as retro? It was released in 1998, but people are still developing games for it.

i already use Torrent Sync to share my sets, the difference being that my sets are fully merged with GPack (i put the whole set on an ISO and the use GPack on them) it gives me the best compression, even better than goodmerge, the other problem is that torrent sync by itself is slow if there is not many people sharing the secret, example, i have this two no-intro sets:

To everyone else, I apologize if speeds are slow on the torrents for the time being. One anon came through and snatched all the sets without even helping seed. I watched the entire time. Shit, just found the Mario Party 2 archive was broke. There's a new torrent up. Those that have already download the set can just replace the archive then replace the torrent on your client.

Getting an additional 100 GB for the server later today. Will hopefully have more sets up soon.

I see Commodore 64 but I don't see Amiga. It's hard to find a romset that's exhaustive but doesn't include gigabyte upon gigabyte of demos.
