Not a rumor. I don't know exactly who they're hiring, but I know they're not using the original cast. They said it's too expensive to bring them back on board, the actors are much older now, and they mentioned something about how they somehow can't re-use the original voice recordings.

I played the classic sam&max with playthrough because fuck guessing that random shit, still enjoyable though.

As for the voiceacting I like both old and new english voices but jesus fuck the german synchro. The girl who voices bart simpson in germany voices sam, really unfitting.

I prefer the new Max.

I don't even think the comedy in the Telltale games is as good as the comedy in this game.

Hit the Road was like a really offbeat surreal Coen Brothers comedy while the Telltale games dwell on snarkiness and sarcasm.

I always thought Hit the Road was underrated. It's always Monkey Island, Indy, DOTT or Grim Fandango. If you ask me Hit the Road is the best Lucas Arts adventure by far. Humor isn't a LOL I'M A DUMB PIRATE one trick pony, interface and gameplay are awesome, it's not too hard or too easy, top notch visuals. I love it.

I fucking hate tell tale games games. They don't have a single fucking puzzle in them that actually requires you to figure something out. It's all just watching a shitty movie, choosing two similarly different answers that will show you a slightly different version but in the end accomplish the same and sometimes opening a fucking door or putting batteries into a radio. Oh wow, what a fucking puzzle, put batteries in a radio for it to work,so demanding, what thinking, such puzzle, wow. Fuck you tell tale and fuck people like you who just want to watch interactive movies that aren't even truly fucking interactive. God-fucking-damn-it. I hate you so much.

Same here, Same & Max and Full Throttle are my favorites. The Indiana Jones games were enjoyable too. I never got into the Monkey Island series either though. The whole Pirate setting just doesn't appeal to me and as you said the humor wasn't particularly funny.
