It appears that OP is kill, so let’s keep this thing going in his memory. I’m no authority on retro gaming and don’t want to be the one to decide this weeks game. The plan is to have everyone suggest games to play. The first ten to be recommended and then have somebody else second it will be listed in order 0-9. I will then roll to see what we should play. If there are any major issues with this plan let me know, or else let’s just get this thing going. In the future we can choose from a larger pool of games. I think we will officially start the “week” on Sunday, but anyone can start playing sooner once it’s decided. If OP returns he is welcome to take back the reigns as it was initially his idea. I will delete this thread once we start the game on Sunday.

Also, keep in mind that we have already played DuckTales (platformer for NES) and For the Frog the Bell Tolls (action/puzzle RPG for GameBoy). Games can be chosen from the entire /vr/ library. Although we should give preference for games that are easily emulated or installed on modern operating systems (PC and mac). The more people playing the better this will be.

I cast my vote for Clock Tower, since it's 2spooky month

Yeah, that makes sense, and I love horror and all, but unless we're doing it all month, we may want to just do a horror game the last week of the month.

My vote is for The Lost Vikings.

Me too.

That looks interesting. SNES or PS1 version? Do you know approximately how long it takes to complete? I won't count this as a second because I'm OP.

Also, everyone try to choose games that everyone can reasonable complete in a week with different work/school/life schedules.

would you consider this a second for Clock Tower? Lost Vikings is now in the running

>SNES or PS1 version?

There is also a PC version and a Wonderswan version but in Japanese only.

I've been planning on playing the SNES version sometime, so that sounds like a good choice to me.

Arino was able to complete most, if not all of the endings in an evening.

Thanks for another useless tidbit of information that remains mildly related but still uncalled for, faggot.

From what I could tell from wiki it was initially developed for Super Famicom (now there is a fan made translation) and later ported to the rest. I was trying to distinguish whether he meant the original (for all the systems you mentioned) or Clock Tower II, which was known as Clock Tower in west for PS1.

Moving on,

Since it looks like to poster meant the original SNES version of Clock Tower, and we have at least one second. The list stands as is

0 Clock Tower (SNES)
1 The Lost Vikings (SNES)

Two SNES games so far. Keep them coming

>> No.1130982

How about The Magic of Scheherazade (pronounced Shay-Hera-Zah-Day)? It's an NES game that was inspired largely by Zelda but also by Dragon Quest, so Action with strong RPG elements. I never finished it though, so I can't say how long it would take to play.

I think we should save halloween games for a spookier week, like the week of Halloween. That'd be a time to play something truly spooktacular.

How about Pulseman?

I vote for Clock Tower. Maybe the SNES Clock Tower and PS1 Clock Tower back-to-back for a couple weeks.

Earthworm Jim. I own it for SNES but have yet to complete it. There are extra levels for the megadrive, apparently.

Star Fox 2 might be fun. I've never played it and love the original and SF64 which a lot of people have already played
