The game was made on bullshit on purpose to combat rentals and to pad out the length and because the devs didn't know what they were doing also because they had no testers so they kept testing their game over and over so they got good at it so they were detached from the players who didn't know better. This game really needs a remaster so they can fix the antiquated old bad design with savestates and rewind, good design standards only started to appear in the 7th gen anyway

There's no such thing as "being filtered"

Some games just have bad controls,
Some have glitches that make it literally impossible to continue,
And some have cheap gimmicks that aren't fair to the player.

Just because you got accustomed to a shitty game's bullshit mechanics doesn't mean you made it through the filter, it just means you're a stubborn Autist. If a game doesn't respect your skill or time then it's not worth playing to begin with.

The camo just directly tells you which camo+facepaint is the best one in any situation and you can change it freely at any given moment without tension or hurry. The same goes for curing wounds, you can't fail it and actually if you don't cure your wounds and let them heal, you get a longer health bar. No hurry to cure them because a broken leg or arm doesn't affect the gameplay, only if you get poisoned you need to cure immediately.

Which is based.

Yes I'm not buying the remake in any situation but if they are making one, it should at least be that you can't change camo or cure while in full alert and in the sight of enemy / boss fight, or if you can it happens in real time.

>>11294915
Maybe a broken arm results in getting similar aim disorientation as when out of stamina but I can't remember how you would break your arm in the game. I remember if you fall from too high it results in broken leg(s) but it doesn't hinder Snake even for a brief period.

install game. I assume you have the complete edition
there are some files you need to download which might be the reason its not working for you. You can get em here
https://github.com/bolrog/d2dx/releases/tag/0.99.529
you need the glide and d2dx file. just put em in the d2 folder. edit the d2dx file with notepad++ or w/e. Like changing the scale to 2 instead of the 1 default.
Also you can add -w command to the glide fx shortcut for windowed mode

Currently getting filtered by the Hardmode Omega Pirate on NTSC GC Metroid Prime. He's killed me twice now. Pretty good fight. Pretty tough fight on hard and on GC. He is looms over you threateningly and does brutal damage on his canon launcher and his melee. Pirate troops can really stack the damage, too. Wave beam troops are the worst, imo. It takes like 4 or 5 fullly charged wave beam shots to kill one. Power Beam troops need one super missile and one charged shot. Ice Beam troops need one mildly charged shot and a missile. Plasma Beam troops need like 2.5 fully charged shots or something like that. All the other versions can abuse the shit out of power bombs and the remaster can freaking jump in morphball form, but not the original on GC, they don't do shit to any of the pirates. Lol, good ending depends on finding some random unknown location early in game and acting in a specific way without any guidance.
In walkthrough it says "quests", there is no such thing. You're not told what to do and it's not a conscious choice to stumble upon that specific location that makes good ending even possible.

Getting filtered pretty hard but the mission in which you have to defend the plane. After half a dozen attempts I finally managed to destroy the wave of 3 choppers (if you don't dispose of them quickly, it's mission over guaranteed) but then the last fucking spider bot dicked me around until I was out of everything and in red damage zone. I went looking for my supply helicopters, none were left, but then I saw something amazing: the plane moving up and getting ready to leave, so I went in hiding like a pussy (still manage to destroy this picrel mech in the process) so I wouldn't get destroyed myself and hoping the plane would last long enough to take off but they shot it down just as it was about to depart

FML now it's probably going to take just as many attempts just to take out the choppers. Oh and apparently there is an even harder escort mission after this one

isn't the 4-hit combo what happens when you press square 4x rapidly?

The game is just too fucking long, never in a million years as a young lad did I think i would grow to appreciate short games as I got older.
Well, I can take long games if they're structured like handheld shit and not some gigantic single start-to-end experience.

How do you even replay mostly-linear story-driven games?
I mean, it's not even a roguelike, wtf ._.
Maybe I should give it a go in like 10 years or something.

yeah, it's usually a 5+ year gap before I replay linear games, sometimes longer. I do a Metroid Prime run once every like 8-10 years as an example.

"I'll try again tomorrow"
>5 tries later
"Maybe a guide will help?"
>Four trips to GameFAQs and two no-voice walkthroughs on Youtube later.
"Fuck this. I am NOT lowering the difficulty"
>Uninstall it/delete the ROM
>Three years later.
"You know, I never completed this game. I should try it again"

I find SH1 to be strangely engaging and arcadey< I like replaying it like it's a RE game. Love SH2-4 but I rarely if ever replay them

Nintendo didn't publish the NES themselves in Europe. Several distributors handled different regions and releases for those weren't compatible between regions.

There was a jump in this game over a broken walkway where you have to lay down a plank that filtered a lot of people.
As for me, I still don't have the patience to beat Super Ghouls and Goblins or whatever the fuk it's called, the floating jump always gets me.

When I mash it doesn't work. It's like he tries to do a combo and then sometimes it's like he interrupts his swing with the first swing and that just loops. I'm guess there's something of a timing to it, but it's a little tricky.

I just get sad usually. I want to like games and it's great to find a game you can't help but commit to.
>This isn't for me
>I'm just not having fun
>I tried, but don't have the patience/skill
Only sometimes, when I can prove fault, do I blame the game
