Besides Saturn, what are some /vr/ systems that are hard as fuck to emulate? Trying to push my Odin 2 to its limits. Saturn seems to run full speed on Retroarch with the Yaba Sanshiro core (haven't had any success with the Beetle core, not sure why everyone here reccs it or maybe I'm doing something wrong).

I've been exploring around the game card from an earlier handheld purchase I made, since it came with a large MAME archive. It let me examine games I never even knew existed, as well as games I heard of be didn't get to try. It's neat.

Got open mw running on my phone a lil while back so frikkin neat! Love that years later after first playing on an xbox and then pc, I can now run morrowind on a phone wth only 3gb of ram. XD Anywho...

I have an announcement. While I love my phoneheld and honestly would have been JUST fine without taking it any steps further. I realized that I want to potentially get rid of some of my weaker and older PCs to make more room. And well with a steamdeck basically being a PC with the ability to dock and set up anytime or game in bed. I decided I'm going for it. I'm gonna buy two of them, I think. One Oled and I just got the 512 lcd antiglare. (I did my research, and actually prefer the antiglare, color saturation) I'm excited!
I considered other mini PCs. Rog is out of the question after their warranty bullshitting. The Lenovo Legion Go was actually tempting, with accessories it could be fun but its so massive that it'd be a pain. Plus nothings been optimized and invested in like the steamdeck so far when it comes to handheld pcs.

What I look forward to playing on steamdeck:
Boomer shooters (doom with mods for the first time)
PS2, maybe a little ps3 and xbox where applicable.
Perhaps a more modern game here and there as I've been retro only for about 2 years now.

I think the phone will now be reserved for emulation of handheld devices and lower spec stuff because the deck is never gonna leave my house anyways but the phone can. I think I'm gonna set up a new one for my gf to get her into some light gaming.

Don't know about xbox, but the ps3 games i tried worked okay. At the time, I think the emulator was a bigger issue than whether the deck could handle. I'm not sure if I'd get two steamdecks right now. Valve could shadow drop a new one this holiday season. Also, there are a couple of other x86 in development that should release next year if you don't mind waiting instead of buying two decks.

Earphones, wifi disabled, screen brightness at 40-50%. Before Earthbound, I was using it roughly 15 minutes per day, only needing one charge per month.
