maybe it had to do with licensing the song, and since they couldn't get the license to use Power of Love, but had the 8-bit version finished, they just sped it up and put it in the game like that.

same goes for that shitty version of "johnny B. Goode". they made it SORTA sound like it, but you REALLY gotta listen to catch it. it just repeats the verses melody over and over, and it's sped up a little.

I find that strange. But I wonder if the byte(s) responsible for song speed could be altered to play the song appropriately.

Also, the original song's pace matches the game's pace much more. I kinda liked this game, but it's obscenely difficult for all of the wrong reasons. Like the level where you have to throw pies at random people? That would've been okay as a bonus round, but that's a level in the game, and what's worse, you need to pie at least 100 of the fuckers!
