who thought this was a good idea?

I liked the Genesis Disney games a lot as a kid, but I didn't have an SNES and missed out on a lot of the Capcom ones. Which are generally considered the best?

I loved the SNES version but I didn't play a lot of the Genesis version. The SNES version seemed a lot shorter or maybe I was just better at it. It is weird how different they are instead of just being copies of each other.

I've tried that level about 20 times, I always failed at the platform part where the lava surge catches you in mid jump.
I found the lava level much harder than the carpet riding part, I really could have used that ''Nice Try'' skip to get me past the level.
I never managed to beat Aladdin because of that one fucking part.

Actually Genesis was the most fun and easy console.

I love both the Super NES and Sega Genesis. Personally, I found myself playing more SNES games, but I'll admit the Genesis has a unique charm that is unmatched.

Sometimes the Super NES games would out-do a Sega game. I think Street Fighter II is a great example of that. But sometimes the Sega would out-do the SNES. Earthworm Jim is a prime example.

Aladdin on the Genesis, in my opinion, was far superior to the SNES version. If I'm gonna play Aladdin, it's definitely gonna be on the Sega. The sword-play and cool level designs seal the deal for me.

I don't understand why you'd prefer the genesis over the snes aladdin, for a nigh useless weapon even. Also aladdin moves way too close to the direction he's moving in and the camera lags behind, this is pretty much the sign of a shitty game

It was more attractive anyway, at least in comparison to the American SNES which in addition to being an ugly box also yellowed with age.

I still prefer the exclusive games on it, though.

You have to wait until the lava surge ends. Then jump. You have enough time for it, even if it looks like the rock is about to sink.
