Hey, I am looking for a way to get burnt games running on my PAL SCPH-50003 Ps2. Specifically I want to run NTSCU/J games on it.

I investigated using mechapwn with forceunlock and it didn't seem to work. I'm wondering if that is because it's a PAL console?

I'm also open to non mechapwn methods of making burnt copies run on a fat ps2 but I'd prefer no patch on the iso being needed. Does anybody have any idea about how to make this happen?

(Btw I'm not interested in HDD/USB methods of loading, especially bc of their compatibility issues and fuck ups like crashing in ace combat 5)

Yeah anon you basically just need ESR patching with FMCB. works on everything for me except GT4 for some reason. That said if I were you I would invest in an adapter and internal HDD but if you've got a limited-edition Z Gundam console I understand that you might not want to mod it

Chip it, this has been common knowledge for 20 years?

Nobody does that anymore, everybody's running games off of hard drives or SD cards these days. Also I don't have any compatibility problems whatsoever when I played AC5 of of my sata hard drive using FreeHDBoot and OPL a few months ago, maybe that was an issue to look out for in ancient times but every game I play works fine.

>PAL
Oh, that's why.

The Pal console runs opl the exact same as an NTSC one nigger. I'm talking about the mechapwn github and burning.

You clearly don't know shit

Unsure about about using mechapwn but
Udpbd is as good as having a HDD and might be easier to set up than region swapping

I have no idea, but I've wanted that Hyaku Shiki PS2 for a long time now.
