I like both, but I remember the scrolling in the Genesis game annoying the fuck out of me. NES game is overall better.
I should replay these along with Return of the Joker. I remember that game having hella sprite flicker on real hardware.

Despite having very little to do with the movie, the NES game is infinitely replayable with a soundtrack that has stayed with me all these years later.

The Genesis game is no slouch either, but not the masterpiece that is the NES version.

I think NES' is the better video game, but Genesis' is a better adaptation of the film. Neither is any better than the other, they're excellent and it comes down to preference.
