I owned the Forgotten Realms archive pack and can confirm that I hated everything in it except for the Eye of the Beholder series

Menzoberranzan was cool too despite the jank

Does Mixed-Up Mother Goose count as an RPG? I always remembered it as being top-down movement before seeing it on the Internet again since the mid-90s.

You seriously underestimate 80’s nerds. They ended up making all your favorite 90’s and 2000’s RPGs.

First person to tell me what movie this is from without reverse image searching wins nothing.

Ever since I turned 30, I've really grown sour on JRPGs even though they were my favorite as a kid. I think it's because I want more freedom in my gameplay as an adult and the stories don't impress me as much after many years of experiences + playing some of the greatest ones already. I never played any of the oldschool RPGs until recently and I'm really starting to like them a lot (like the original Apple II version of Ultima 1). I see how a lot of these influenced my favorite games I liked growing up and there seems to be something new that I thought I hadn't seen before.

I can no idea how someone could become enamored with JRPGs even as a child. There are some of them that are good in spite of themselves, but I have no clue how it isn't extremely obvious how limited they mostly are.

The module database itself was a different website iirc, so the modules should be around. Just have no clue what order they'd go in. I haven't messed much with the archived page though and I have to assume someone archived it.

Ive spent far 2 much time moving my charactors from module to module in FRUA. some modules I play thru a few times but its been fun. charactors are maxed out for their levels and its just a case of adventures to adventure now. its hilarious going to some old lvl 4 module and punching my way thru it and acing all the checks because I am good enough. Love me some hours lost in FRUA Modules and making my own to mess with.
