The Yakyuuken Special
A very shitty paper-scissor-rock game where you have to beat assorted women like 5 times to get them to undress with real life filmed video.
One of the few red label (X-rated strict 18+) Saturn games that contained nudity in the form of nipples. The yellow label that was before that one was 18 recommend and those games had some slight nudity without visible nipples, like the typical mahjong game.
There is a playtrough saved on the archive so you don't have to suffer through the "gameplay" to see the videos

There's been a bit of a resurgence of them in the indie dev scene, they are even referred to as Boomer Shooters. Some even use modified/updated versions of the original engines (or even the actual original engines) instead of something modern like Unity or Unreal.

https://store.steampowered.com/tags/en/Boomer%20Shooter/

I remember playing a demo of a game called Captain Wayne, and it was clearly running in the GZDoom engine.

>Was this a real easter egg in the og game?
>I must have played DX like 50 times but never did it.

matrix yes. there was also a sekrit disco level you can teleport to. and also a big-head mode. with the cheat commands turned on , you can also cheese the game like a hackermage and summon 100 missiles or poison-darts to kill anything easily.

The name is. The fetish is mostly Westerners. Ever seen literally any horror movie?

little disingenuous to equate horror movies with literal gore porn especially when you consider not every horror film even features excessive amounts of gore. Are there films where they take the violence and gore to a level of absurdity/to a point of voyeuristic spectacle? Yes, but for the most part those films frame it as tongue-in-cheek, and usually if they don't they are usually making a statement about violence. Guro is not making a statement, you are meant to jerk off to it.

His post makes zero fucking sense, since most audience of guro is clearly japanese, and the western mindset even by weirdos woudl be repulsed.

In fact looking at people tastes, the chinese are even scarier than any guro stuff from japan.

they managed to make a game like this very atmospheric thanks to the music and lighting. the voice acting was not too bad either to give the tone.
the thing felt wrong in a good way. probably one of the most visceral games of its time.
the balance realism vs fun was well managed.
