Besides Crash, Spyro and JRPGs, what is there to play on PSX?

I've been told there are a lot of good racing games on it, it's where Gran Turismo got its start.
Beyond that, out of the games I've actually played:
>GTA2 (thought it plays a lot different from the GTA's that came after it)
>Twisted Metal
>Driver 2
>that one Yugioh game where they're in Egypt (I'd find and abuse the card codes for it somewhere online though since it's somewhat unfair) (I think this might also count as a JRPG, whoops)
>Ace Combat
Honestly there's a lot of good shit on every console, it's just that for some reason the only genres people ever look into are platformers, fighters, or jarpigs. I know it's not Playstation, but last year I found out that the SNES had all these neat racing and strategy games and was disappointed it took me so long to discover them since all anyone wants to talk about when discussing the SNES library is either bing bing wahoo or some copypaste animeslop jarpig I don't care for.

Apart from GTA 2 these are terrible choices.
Driver 1 is way better than Driver 2
Twisted metal 2 is better than 1 but it's still dated, if you want vehicular combat try vigilante 8
Although maybe your post is trolling and I just got wooshed.

Rezfags and Tempestfags would like this one, you'll eventually find a shot type you like but as you progress you'll find the difficulty creeps up and you'll begin to master all the different weapons. The bosses are often nice visual treats too. Sharp 60fps 480i game with nice tunes.

no Colin Mcrae?? I've tried the newest Rally games and many others for PS2 and the like but nothing compares to the mix of Sim and Arcade in Colin Mcrae 1/2. I also just find the physics better, modern Dirt games feel like I'm driving on a weirdly grippy sheet of ice for some reason. Why did PS1 racing games have better physics than some modern games?
