Definitely enjoyed the 5 years or so that it was in my possession, but my schedule is not as flexible as it was before to play games, so I figured let someone else have fun with it. iirc for super64/ed64+ the ones that dont boot are wwf no mercy, animal forest and pokemon stadium 2.
Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64 and Jet Force Gemini need cracked versions to save data and you can find the patches here: http://micro-64.com/database/patches.shtml
or look for the roms that end with [f2].
Hoping that N64FlashcartMenu gets updated to be compatible with these carts one day.

Neo Pocket Game Drive is fine for NGP, loading from SD card to flash takes extra time but it isn't terribly different. Personally most of my boots are to play something I played recently rather than switching to something that isn't in my 5 most recent, so I barely notice the added step and flash storage management.
I don't blame you for waiting (especially after falling for SHDS3 and PSIO) on Wonderswan because flashing from a PC is kinda ass, but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing and it hasn't given me any problems. I've heard there are issues with homebrew but I'm not there with it yet.

Bought picrel to test it out, and I'm very happy with it. Got it knowing I wouldn't be able to play Kirby Superstar or Mario Kart due chip technology.
Since I already have the console, figured it would be cheaper to get the flashcart than buying a snes mini and much much cheaper than getting those two game 2nd hand.
Any recommendation for a Flashcart that can run Kirby Superstar using the SA1 chip?

They use FPGA emulation for the CD games, which is fine, but there are serious issues with it that cause regular freezing. For example if you leave a cd game running idle for 10 minutes or so it will almost always crash. They refuse to fix it, and since it Terraonion it’s closed source and DRM’d, so the community can’t do much about it.
Otherwise it’s a fine product, it has some nice features the ED doesn’t, but is also missing some feature the ED has. It’s significantly more expensive too.

I also have an issue with in-game music tracks occasionally just being silent in various games. I don't think the firmware has been updated in over a year so it might not be getting fixed.

I would avoid the regular Omega due to the save bug. It's almost a usable budget cart, but the possibility of deleting your saves is too dangerous of a risk.

Omega Definitive is a great cart. The important thing is that it just werks, it keeps saves even with a dead battery. But you also get save states, soft reset, rumble, pal park, etc.
The Everdrive formerly had the advantage of better battery life, but Rev.B phased out the original Omega DE like a year or two ago. Now the Omega DE is better.

>> No.10694441

I'm just going to give my everdrive mini to my gf and get one of those omega de carts. The battery feels infinite at the moment so I don't care if it drains a little bit more quickly. My cart came with my gba on eBay for a great bargain a year or 2 ago, so I didn't really pick it out

I have a lot of Chinese flashcarts. I would not recommend them, as they are prone to having something being cheapened out to meet a price target, thus causing possibly catastrophic failures. I would recommend everyone buy direct from Krikzz or reputable local sellers like stoneagegamer to have the peace of mind they are made to the highest of quality. While the price difference is hundreds of USD, at least don't support the technology theft and authoritarian regime of China; had I known and had the funds, I certainly would not have gotten these destructive items.

I like it a lot, but it is really expensive for what you get compared to the Fenrir. They didn’t have the Fenrir for my model when I bought the Satiator. Unlike the SHDS3 and PSIO though I have no regrets because it’s a good product that does what it advertises.
From what I know, a big advantage over the Fenrir is if you use the Rings menu system it’ll do per game saves and load/backup your SRAM to the SD card at game boot. It’s really nice and helps mitigate save loss from the battery dying. I did an FRAM mod anyways though since they’re cheap and I have a hot air rework station.

I had a GDEMU clone that had issues with Skies of Arcadia (not serious) and Code Veronica X (game breaking). Those have been fixed, but clones cannot be updated. Adding games to it takes a bit more effort too, you need to use specialty software to do it. GDEMU also doesn’t use as much power as the GD rom drive, which results in the build up of heat from excess power going to it. There is no actual proof that this damages anything to my knowledge.
Mode on the other hand is drag and drop, doesn’t have DRM unless you update the device (you need an account to download updates), has no compatibility issues to my knowledge or from my experience, and had a nicer interface.
There’s a big price difference though, and Terraonion isn’t a very good company truth be told.
Pay more if you want a slightly more premium product. Keep in mind that GDEMU clones are cheaper than the real deal, but if you want updates youll need a legit one, which is made by an asshole to has a bizarre pre-ordering process, is constantly out of stock, and makes small batches. Good luck.
