What games on the Genesis are worth playing? Also are the 32X or CD worth looking into?
I've picked up a few games for it. Have enjoyed what I've played thus far and wanna know what games are worth playing and what aren't.
Currently have
>6pak cart - sonic 1, golden axe, super hang on, revenge of Shinobu, columns, streets of rage
>NBA Lakers Celtics playoffs
>coach K basketball (much better than the NBA game

Super hang on has been my favorite thus far

It very much depends on what kinds of games you like. What other 8-16 bit types of games do you like?

Granada (pic related)
Ranger-X
Comix Zone
Beyond Oasis
Fantasy Zone

I'd recommend those off the top of my head straight up, but your taste matters more.

Thank you for recs, I'll look into them.
What I listed covers most of my 16 bit experience.
Never had a genesis/nes/snes/etc as a kid so don't have much experience with games from then

I like the sports games i have, Shinobi and golden axe are fun as well. Sonic is ok.

>Also are the 32X or CD worth looking into?
Do not buy a SEGA CD or 32X, but yes, absolutely. Emulate instead, or if you absolutely have to run them on original hardware then buy a Mega SD or Mega Everdrive Pro for SEGA CD.

My top ten for SEGA CD
>Sonic CD
>The Terminator
>Starblade
>Road Rash
>Keio Flying Squadron
>Lords of Thunder
>Android Assault: Revenge of Bari-Arm
>Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
>Silpheed
>After Burner III

Honestly SEGA CD deserves to be treated as its own console like Saturn, despite being an add-on it really is basically the successor to the Genesis.

32X is literally only forty games, but there are still some very good ones imo like Knuckles Chaotix, Virtua Racing Deluxe, After Burner, Shadow Squadron, and Darxide.

There's a recent renaissance in Genesis home brew as well thanks to SGDK. There's already a few modern titles including commercial titles and ports of the arcade version of Ghouls N Ghosts and a special remake of SOTN are coming.

Will look, thanks brah. I’ve been doing a lot of home ports of arcade games, I understand graphically and sound wise they’re usually (not always) inferior, but I enjoy the differences/new content/balancing changes/romhacks for them. The only ones I won’t play are when they’re flat downgrades and have cut content or something like that.

There is good money to be made with (near) perfect reproduction carts.
E.g. I am able to make these for relatively cheap, using donor carts and custom labels that gets some wear and tear added just to make it look authentic.
For the labels I usually buy a real cart for reference (that I can sell again with tiny profit later)
Sells for a lot on places like ebay. People are wiling to pay the jackpot and even give me praise for being a good guy. Kek.

It's a pretty unique concept. Isometric poltergeist simulation isn't really a genre but that's what it is. You possess random objects in a family home in order to scare each of the tenants away. There are some light "combat" sections that take place in what I'd guess is supposed to be Hell or something but for the most part, it's just ecto-Fonzie scaring the shit out of New Jersey trash people. Must play.
