This but also with the high quality sound mod too because vanilla audio is lower quality on PC for some reason.
It's the version of the game with the most content. All it's missing is the N64 randomizer but it's the best for everything else. It even has both JP and US modes (Original is JP and Arranged is US) and it also has the Hard mode that's only on PC and Dreamcast

They probably just reused the audio from the original Win98 versions which were just 22050 microsoft adpcm streams. Oddly enough, the Dreamcast version synthesized the music like the PS1 version did.

Can't go wrong with the Nintendo Gamecube port. But the PS1 originals are always the OG-OGs, nothing to be ashamed of.

You want RE1 Saturn, RE2 N64 and RE3 Gamecube versions for the most extra features.
