I beat this game for the first time last week, had it used from funcoland as a kid and disc 2 was fucked. Had it on my vita for a decade and finally finished it. I named Ava "Cunty"

I finally read the novel last week. holy fuck was it fucked up but it was AMAZING. it took a really long time to build up but the payoff was REALLY worth it.

also noticed some things the game fucked up
>Eve could NOT possess someone from the kidney. Mazuki was not possesded. Melissa SHOULD NOT have been able to be possessed.

>the term "Ultimate Being" was never used. "Eve 1"/"She" was the name of the mother, and "Eve" was the name of the child

>Eve (the child) took the form of a human female, and without the male mitochondria in the game, he shouldn't have had any male characteristics and should've looked like a human female (like Eve's final form in the game)

>Eve's body SHOULDN'T HAVE given birth in the game because her body was decomposing. the novel already addressed this, which is why Eve 1 wanted to use Mazuki to give birth to Eve. what should've happened is for the Maya Eve to take the male sperm (without mitochondria) and inseminate Melissa (with the kidney) and give birth to Eve.

>Eve 1 in the novel was very cunning, calculative and smart. Eve in the game was just arrogant and stupid.

and so much more.

overall I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE to read the novel. it is an underrated masterpiece.

the best and only good part of the game is the EX-game. that's awful game design. the main game feels like nothing more than than a warm up/tutorial for the Chrysler Building.
