Try the game "Idol Hakkenden" for NES. Really amusing and cute adventure game. Doesn't require Must logic to win.

Everyone loves Ecco the Dolphin. You can't say no to that cover. Other than that you can do the Valis series, it has a female protagonists and is a side scrolling action game. Ristar is on the cute side. Maybe a simple arcade game not focused on killing like Mappy or Flicky? Puzzle games can be good like Tetris, Puyo Puyo, Sokoban, Lemmings, The Humans!, Columns, The Lost Vikings, and Toki Tori. Maybe games in which you build things, girls love The Sims. Girls seem to like JRPGs as well so try an easy one to get into like a Dragon Quest game, Final Fantasy, or something similar.

This anon >10550776 recommended Ecco The Dolphin and Final Fantasy, which are good reccs, though Ecco can be quite frustrating to newcomers if you're not used to older difficulty in platformers. As for Final Fantasy, if she's young, you wouldn't want to throw her into one with too complex a world/story that might confuse her. I'd recommend either 5, 6, 9 or 10. Show her some screenshots of each and ask her which one appeals the most to her. 5 has a cute dragon, 6 has a female protagonist, 9 is just comfy and cute and 10 has a love story.

I've long thought about the gals in video game problem. What if you played it as Peach? I've no idea if it might work but if the problem is only the playable characters there are hacks for that if you want to try. I think Peach is kinda fat on the smw one (couldn't find a Daisy hack) but looks better in smb3 one. S1-3 as Amy also exist. There's Sonic advance 1 too.

I was fighting all day to figure out how to play GBA games on Netplay using Retroarch just to find out you can't. Luckily I already had a secondary option with "My boy!" app

Now I'm trying to make Chromecast read my USB storage with all the Roms I collected, for every Goal there's another set back

But I was able to make Shining Soul 2 work on my TV. Not really a cute game, but I always wanted to try out a multiplayer run, Idc if she gets bored I need this

Hey anon what USB stick are you using, I know some TV boxes can be finicky with those, it may also be the OTG adapter itself. I had the same problem with my Fire TV Stick but eventually sort of became a non-issue when I switched to CHD's instead of bin and cue which take up more space. Possibly /g/ can help

Seconding on Mr. Driller. If the sister likes puzzle games, she might like Mr. Driller. The cute art style helps. My favorites are G, A, and DrillLand. Drill Spirits on DS is pretty good too.
Also, if she ends up liking it, I would also recommend Dig Dug Digging Strike. It’s Dig Dug, but with the Mr. Driller art style and characterization.

Super Mario 2 let's hear play as peach.
Puzzle games are frequently cute and 2 player, Puzzle Bobble, Puyo Puyo (and clones) or Panel de Pon / Tetris Attack.
Twinkle Star Sprites could be good if she likes Touhou
I'd recommend Famicom Detective Club 2 on SNES if she wants an adventure game like Phoenix Wright
