There hasn't been a proper one of these since last week and this morning I got some pics worth starting a thread with.

I experienced some of you guys' frustration as the local reseller had already bought all the gen 3-4 stuff before I got a chance to cherry pick it but I was able to get the 5-6 stuff for $1 each. Shame there was no Saturn. I wonder if old Rocky got that too.

The guy (pic related) had a game store that closed down and I had been meaning to stop in, but missed out. Might have had a chance at them cartridges if I'd have been more on tip of my social engineering. Oh well. So what have you guys done with your weekend?

Found some NGPC games online going for a couple bucks each. Pretty decent games too, like Metal Slug, KOF, and Dark Arms. Not CIB, but since I found a NGPC pretty cheap with a box and everything, kinda seemed like it was time to grab a few games too.

Always wanted a NGPC as a kid, so this is gonna be sweet.

Dreamcast controller for $5, first party Playstation component cables for $5, Yellow GBC for $13, Pokemon Trading Card Game for $5, and Riven and Sim City 3000 both came to 3 dollars or something despite their pricetag. I also got a 22" Trinitron for $30, much better than the 12" one I had. It only has component, composite and s-video though, but I can live with that.

The Gameboy Color works, but has a purple battery cover and some very noticeable scratches on the screen cover. Is there a decent way to replace them? I have a spare lime GBC with a scratch-free one but a busted speaker. Also, the copy of Pokemon TCG looks like it got chewed up by a dog, it has some bite marks, a chip, and the plastic over the contacts is a bit dented. Works fine, though, just needs its battery replaced.

Got this last weekend at the same garage sale. 25 cents a piece, except Zelda DX which was $1.

I had only $2 on me. I ran to the nearest 7-Eleven to get some cash back and ran back to get the rest. Always have enough cash on you. I was lucky... this time.

Today was the annual "street sale" day in town. both professionals (shops of the town + proffessionals sellers from abroad) and flea marketers were everywhere.
At the same time there was also FOUR different flea market in the 4 nearest towns as well.

I checked the the street sale and the biggest flea market from close towns.
No gaems. Either nothing at all, the same shovelware and sports games everywhere, or stuff OVERPRICED as fuck.
>snes with a destroyed box : 140€
>NES 45€
>lose NES carts for 9€
>PS2 games for 10€

What a fucking joke. The only interesting thing I saw was Perfect Dark box+manual (but no gaem) in perfection condition for 5€ but I passed. Should have grabbed it.

I got away with buying a few comics and DVDs for very cheap though so I don't feel too bad.

Wow that sucks. Which eurostate are you in? I got all my shit for $1 or less each except that SHS-10. Of course these results are not typical, usually it's $5-$10 per game for disc based games at yard sales, $2-$5 at thrift stores but the selection is standard thrift store mountain-o-crap. I'll post a pic from my phone from my thrift store game hunt thread I did a month or two back.

>Either nothing at all, the same shovelware and sports games everywhere

I don't even want to think about how disappointed I get when I find a Goodwill with games, but see hundreds of white labels with NCAA '03 and MADDEN NFL '05 on them, and the only things in between them are garbage shovelware. I guess it makes finding something that much nicer, though.

I'm from France.

it's very rare to find retro games in flea markets, yet there has been flea markets very often around. It's mostly PS2 games that can be found easily, everything earlier is hard to find and is usually very overpriced.

Though today there was one guy who was selling a couple of Mastery System, Game Gear and surprising even a few super famicom games, but they were shit.

Vidya stores sell common NES games for 10-15 €, it's ridiculous. Choice and price CAN be a bit better in thrift stores though but I still see overpriced stuff all the time in those (like a NES in bad condition for 60€.....)

I would love to have that long Twisted Metal and those two SSI Generals too. I got a Greatest Hits Shadow of The Colossus for $1 in my haul. It's in my haul pic but apparently it's too blurry. I also bought Gallerians not that long ago, I've had a real survival horror fixation lately I think I paid like $3 for it!
