Yea its actually disassembled right now. Adding more cube organiser and a sega dreamcast soon. It looks quite nice when its all tidied up. Theeres an extensive scart over component setting feeding to the toshiba set. Ive got a shit ton of scart cables.
The game collection is on a big bookshelf located elsewhere.

I've just become a big fan of doors. I only recently got this last cabinet on the left and put that stuff in there last night. Before that, I had just the LCD and an Ikea kallax under it with 6th gen being the oldest stuff at hand.
I hate dusting, and if I have to store things too deeply, I don't end up touching them. The systems on the right haven't been regularly played in more than a decade when I moved out into my own place, because I didn't have anywhere convenient to keep them. They went in totes in the storage unit - not that I was in a hurry to hook them up to an LCD, and the NES and Genesis only had RF hookups from when I was a kid, even still.
There's still a lot of work to be done. I'm not sure how to organize all of this now, especially with how much stuff goes in the one stand on the left compared to the other two.

They're not HD. The camera lens just stretches them a little since they're on the edges. They're 4:3, but they are flat. I wish they were curved, but I got them for free and they're very decent sets. They've got some geometry issues, but I've done all I can do with my current level of knowledge and I'm happy with it.

If they weren't free, I probably wouldn't have either. I got pretty lucky with that Toshiba at the beginning of summer 2020. The Trinitron I noticed in my wife's grandmother's basement earlier this year and I told her I could get rid of it for her. It took her until just last month to finally tell me I could take it. The only reason I have two is because of the opportunity. I decided to split them, and have sixth gen on the right, and 5th and earlier on the left. That way I don't have anything in deep storage, didn't have to try jamming everything into just one cabinet, and I only had to calibrate the geometry for one input channel on each TV.

Yeah, switchers are expensive and I'm just not able to throw down the cash for one right now. The right side is all component, but I set it up so that all of the inputs are available right at the back of the TV, so they're quick and easy to switch out, while everything is plugged into power. I'm just going to setup things up as I use them on the left, since I'm more of a 6th gen guy anyway.

I will admit, some desk setups with little CRTs or PVMs look really comfy, though. If I had limited space, I'd be plenty happy with that.

I don't know anything beyond SCART other than the occasional US vs. EU pissing contest. I'm a simple man. My sixth gen are on component, and the older stuff is composite so I don't have to keep an eye out for rogue dithering. Though, I notice the Genesis only seems to have RF or what I assume is S-video output, so I'll have to use that for the first time.

It reminds me of when I was a kid, with one of those big, hulking wooden entertainment centers with all of my consoles up to that point on it; back then, I'd be switching between the Genesis, the SNES, the PS1, and even the PS2 on a pretty regular basis. I've come to terms with the fact that a lot of this isn't rational and is based on nostalgia. That means I let messy but functional slide.

It also plays regular genesis games. Some people will argure the 32x has a better video output than the regular genesis but I dont believe this to be true. Backthorne is a puzzle action platformer thats pretty gud.

Honesty, I will check some more of the 32x library since I got one. But I held off adding that to my genesis for many many years. The genesis/sega cd looks nicer without it.

Its too bad I waited so long becusse it would have been cheaper to buy a 32x years ago. Many games you can play on the 32x are better on the saturn anyway like afterburner 2.
