It's a cool boss rush and a great showcase of CPS3's insane 2D capabilities but as a fighting game it's almost an afterthought to play it PvP because of the RPG leveling. Leo is one of Capcom's most underrated protagonists too and I'm glad I can recreate him in DD2.

there's only 4 playable characters
pretty much all you do is try to finish each boss with a certain move to se them cut in half
the bosses not being playable in any form brings it down imo

Capcom should merge Red Earth's universe with the Darkstalkers universe and make a new game with all the characters interacting with one another in the story.

No it's actually not very good, and I feel like it's nothing but a tech demo for CPS3. There's not much to do and playable characters are limited. The only fantasy fighting game that's legit is Dark Stalkers because Cyberbots is even too wanky just to show off the engine.

Yes I understand this. I get this feeling from other arcade games like Ikaruga and Metal Slug, but not Red Earth. I have no desire to put in more credits to upgrade my character or whatever. It just feels meh.
