While everyone was going nuts with THPS, I played the fuck out of Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX. The trick system is much more interesting and the competition levels get actually pretty damn difficult near the end (the scoring system didn't have any multipliers, so you couldn't get perfect score with a single over-blown combo). The soudtrack was just as good as in THPS2 as well.

Also, who needs special tricks when every rider can do a NOTHING 900 DOUBLE BACKFLIP if there's just enough hangtime.

I remember picking up a latter version of THPS where you could do pogo style board tricks. Was able to clear an entire level with ease without need of ever skating. Just pogo and balance on the board till you reach the min score. Was cheesy.

On the other hand, tfw you jump from rail to rail in an endless grind while you struggle for balance!

Back then I would have never expected a skating game to actually turn out good and with tight control.

If I recall correctly, on THPS2 for the N64 if you were on a custom park and had a bunch of items on screen and held C-right while going off a ramp that temporarily lowered gravity or something. I would play with no cheats and get 1440s easily. Not sure if that was an easter egg or what.

How come I never see you flag, report, or criticize those who post threads about versions of games on PSP or Modding the PSP, and what about the thread yesaterday on retro consoles in tv shows/movies that was derailed by pictures of Josh Peck or one of the many other non retro threads/posts that get posted dainly on /vr/.

It would seem as if you don't really care what gets posted on /vr/ unless it has to do with the Dreamcast, and when it does you shout "The sticky! The Sticky!" As if its your only source of credible argument.

People like you only hurt the board even more by only reporting non retro stuff that you don't like and ignoring others that you do.

It is not a conspiracy theory. Its is a fact. The threads involving the Dreamcast are the only ones who have people yelling and complaining.

And the PSP is not a retro console. The computer generally applies because no one really talks about what computer they are emulating on, we can usuallly just imply that he is using a computer that is considered retro.

Besides, if we went by your idea of the rule then I could mod a Dreamcast and use it for emulation and post topics on emulating games on the Dreamcast.

And there was a thread the other day regarding physically modding the PSP and not just the software.

Everytime I go to a garage sale and ask about video games its always the same thing "Well anon if you had just been here about an hour ago I had a ton of great games but they were all bought by a guy with a yellow cap".

That "guy with the yellow cap" is the grandson of one of the resellers in town and I personally see the other dude from the other shop all the time with large plastic bags of games and consoles he got from garage sales, and hes a personal friend of the reseller he works for.

You know, when they first made that rule people didn't seem to understand what the rule meant, it was obviously confusing as games up to 1999 were allowed but games upto 1999 on the Dreamcast weren't. They wanted clarity, and so when they got clarity they were still upset, and I can see why.

Picture it, 1864, slavory had just been abolished, "you can call this the emancipation of retro games from /v/ and the initial ruling on the sticky". SO black people were obviously confused "this is the Dreamcast fanboys on /vr/. SO when the slaves "Dreamcast fanboys" ask for clarity this is what they get. "Well you are not allowed to work for certain people, your children will most likely not get to associate with white children and oh yeah, watch out because a guy named Steven Lynch started a white supremacy group call the KKK and they could and more than likely will kidnap and kill yoou and your family anf burn your little beat up shack to the ground and they will get away with it."

Now you say that the clarity was given and Dreamcast fanboys needed to deal with it.

Well when those freed slaves realized that being free was just as shittty, if not shittier than being a slave, don't you think they would be pretty upset?

Think about it.
