Why so many fans hype this? You're walking and if there's a goomba in the way then you die. You have to time jumps to fall on the heads of goombas and turtles and if you fall a bit to the left you die too.
A nintendofag will bring up 'skill' but there's a reason there's a there's a mushroom mechanic where you grab onto them to grow big and need to look for another since they appear in regular intervals. That's how they get away with stuff like hammerbros. I mean, how do you get past THAT? They throw hammers and getting through them is pure luck.
I'd much rather play games like Megaman or Metal Slug where you can blast 'em all with a gun.

It is time to admit game design has gone a long way since then and nostalgia was clouding you. A wise nintendofag will say 'you're supposed to jump and get mushrooms' but truth is a game where you pick mushrooms and jump is niche now. It's just weird. the gameplay is a mess when it doesn't let you shoot the enemy with a cool blaster like in Megaman or kick them in cool ways like SF2 or Streets of Rage.

I couldn't have said it better myself, I'll never get the hype for Mario, it's just a fundamentally flawed concept for a video game and it was never good. I mean, the game teaches you to jump on goombas, but Mario feels so slippery and has so much momentum that, if you don't hit them perfectly and end up landing a little to their side, you just die! Mario's so fragile and yet you're taught early on to try jumping on enemies, with a "hero" that's weaker than any of Bowser's weakest and most disposable soldiers, and stands no chance against his strongest, like the hammer bros. and all. It's no wonder they put in a warp zone, they know the only way this could be fun would be by skipping 90% of it and finishing it in 5min like an Atari title, otherwise it just drags on... Mario's a meme that has only survived as long as it has because tendies are fanatics that just can't let it die and want to Bing Bing Wahoo! for the rest of their lives.

Mario is just objectively good. One of the first platformers to do jumping physics and inputs right together with Mega Man

If you can't see this, whether or not you personally like Mario, you are just an idiot who doesn't understand games

Mario is a milquetoast baby game both in terms of gameplay and art. Gameplay, it's just bland. First platformer, suckiest platformer, no spice. Platformers are a pretty easy genre by nature, they've got to be interesting and fun, and Mario is not, people only like it because of a misplaced nostalgia.

It's also just the most vapid infantile shit ever, Care Bears is unironically dark and edgy stuff compared to Mario

No, it plays too smooth for it to be bad

Nothing bad about it, other than I played it enough already

The only strange thing is it has no rival really. Sonic is fun sure, but not as fun as Mario was

Other genres of games are as fun (racers, fps, open world, etc) but I can't think of any platformers that are as fun as the mario series. Donkey Kong is close but still isn't it

"THE Sonic autist" as in implying there's this single one in a huge community of autists that like Sonic, thinking that every autistic Sonic fan thread or post here is by the same autistic fan is just as bad as them, not really autistic, but definitely schizophrenic on your behalf.

No, Sonic games just have good graphics, the graphics aren't the only appeal. DKC is the same as Vectorman. Graphics and sound good, gameplay sucks.

You're both correct in the premise but making terrible arguments, probably ingenuine bait from a bitter and angry tendie who is mad that his precious Mario games keep being subjected to fair critique rather than blind dick sucking. The real reason Mario was never good is because it totally lacks any challenge whatsoever, along with the tendency for empty and dull levels.

OP clearly made this thread to get fanboys to seethe, and judging by how upset you sound, it seems to be a success in that front so far, so by all means stay mad and keep replying to bait threads that upset you, it'll surely make them stop being made, huh? Stupid fuck.

What you don't seem to get is that many of the SMB3 worlds are actually one level, broken up into small sections and work as a checkpoint. That level you posted quite literally could be a small sub-section of another level.

>> No.10350094

>>10350084
What the fuck kind of bizarre argument is this? It "could be a small sub-section"? It's not. It's the entire level. Do you tendies even play the Mario games you're cock riding all the time? Or do you really think that just because it "could have been" part of a larger level, that somehow excuses it? It does not.
