For me it's Oxyd, the best marble roller.

I'm surprised they never made a game with like 100 courses in the GameCube/PS2 era. Marble Madness might be one of the shortest NES games.

It's one of those games which triggered my "deep vidya lore" autism. As a kid, I was thinking about who could create their world, why everything in it is so hostile to marbles and and why we have to rival evil black marble. I also thought that a broom that appears when you fall and break into pieces is a chicken that eats crumbs left of the marble.

I had marbles as a kid and I've always liked Marble Madness. There was an old story that Atari/Midway ran a competition where kids could submit ideas for games and the marble theme ended up winning. Don't see any of this mentioned on wikipedia but I'm pretty sure this was common knowledge at one point.

On the wii there was kororimpa but that doesn't play like marble madness

Yeah, Kororinpa is good. Recently got a Wii sensor bar solely just for that game. I guess Super Monkey Ball is also kinda similar.

Play the arcade game you dweeb

Jap MD and X68000 games are the best home conversions. Arcade game has been on several compilations since the early 2000s. Or you could just MAME it. Avoid the GBA port like the plague.

I just got diagnosed with marble madness…

>> No.10326908

am I the only one who gets a dark and eerie vibe from this game? It feels like youve been reincarnated as a little ball trying to find it's way out of a version of hell.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution. Actually pretty good and the minigames that can be played 2 players ain't bad either. Very crashy unfortunately
>>10326250
The physics in that one are super weird and it seems like there's some secrets that requires you to do crazy stuff
