Really? I didn't know that (mostly because I can't really remember the Cannes special beyond having watched it and "je taime" a lot). Still, that only shows that if the only one willing to bring the concept over so far only did so because it required no localization effort on their parts and was simply a money matter, plus the only one willing being a below average gaming tabloid (and considering the standards of video game journalism, that's a pretty low average) doesn't inspire too much confidence in people overseas (the people that matter, that is) finding the concept interesting enough to really bring it over, let alone make their own version, and I'd figure that if it happened, it would be trying to cash in on the devoted overseas fanbase that has been becoming more and more noticable.

For one, you could punctuate more clearly on overlapping lines. With the pastebin scripts, every line was like "A - So close!" Even though you stated that overlapping lines should start with a short dash, Abunai still got them all wrong by not putting a space between the dash and the beginning of the line. SA spaces them correctly as seen here >>1022395 You could fix this easily by using a spreadsheet with two columns: a narrow column on the left for the speaker and an extra wide column on the right for each line. If lines overlap, then put a properly spaced dash at the start of those lines. If lines don't overlap, then you won't need to use the dash at all. This would eliminate confusion and guesswork.

You don't have to time every line, but you should try to use more frequent time tags. If you make it easier for people to listen to a specific part of each raw, you're more likely to have someone catch errors like the "Char/cool" one in Ikki.

No, the problem was that absolutely every line started with a dash, because that's how you separated the speaker from the spoken line. Using a spreadsheet would allow you to separate the speaker from the spoken line with columns instead of using punctuation. That way, you could include a dash at the start of the spoken line itself ONLY when it overlapped with another line. The lines must appear in the script exactly as they're going to appear on the screen. You can't leave punctuation decisions up to the subber.

That would be very helpful. The more frequent the tags, the more likely you are to get people to edit. Being able to take on small pieces is more welcoming than feeling the need to finish a large chunk each time. I don't think that any of our editors so far has had the time to do a thorough check of more than a few minutes of script in one sitting.

I agree that you guys should think about new fonts for your subs. The SA yellow font is very functional, but I think it looks not so good compared to, say, the way Clover used a pretty but functional font with white letters.

The Share network must have more but some episodes are just not in existence for now. I can't find #128, Strider, at any quality, nor #106 with Yuji Hori. On archived 2chan pages I can find evidence of a 900 MB+ 720p Space Hunter, the source of all streaming copies, yet on the network itself it's missing.

I don't know what happened in between #135 and #136 that they started showing up in HD. Kakaricho can probably tell us what's on people's DVRs and "on demand" services right now. It's possible that ripping these episodes is just something that has to be willed, while it's also possible that everyone has to wait for a re-broadcast.

Yoiko and another pair (Ai Tominaga and Anna Tsuchiya this time) have to survive on a deserted island for 3 days and 2 nights.

The show gives them a sleeping bag, and they have access to some spices/flavorings and flour, but outside of that they have to get all their food themselves (foraging, fishing, etc), and have to construct a shelter of some kind too.

The cooking/building are also challenges to see who can do the best.
