Theres no such thing as "vanilla build". Ion Fury is no more "vanilla" than Duke or Shadow Warrior or Blood. Unlike the doom or quake engines which came with enemy AI and map effects and stuff built in, build as it was licensed only had the groundwork of moving around in a 3D engine and animating sprites - the devs had to program everything else themselves. Thats why the games all feel so radically different. Well, except for Redneck Rampage which was built on the Duke Nukem version of the engine.
