This will probably die but I think it's a neat thread idea.

post your most recent pickups, wether it be games, systems, emulation boxes, etc. As long as it's /vr/ related then post it!

I just recently bought picrel and I'm hoping to get back into Atari 8 bit collecting.

These are commonly found as TI had boatloads of unsold stock and nobody gave a shit about the computers so many are NOS that were used little or not at all.

Either that or everyone is afraid to post because they don't want to be seen as a collectorfag. If it's the latter, just remember that nobody cares unless you only buy shit for the sake of buying it or as an investment.

I picked up two CRTs off the side of the road recently
They are both 20" Panasonics with built in VCRs, white plastic. They only have composite input but they look pretty nice.

They will both go to different friends of mine who each want a CRT and don't really care about S-Video/Component.

They sound perfect. I don't know why anyone would want to use anything besides composite anyway. Everybody used composite back in the day.

I will own what i want, and i will be happy.

Gundam vs Zeta Gundam PS2 and loose Turok 1 and 2 carts for N64. Quite happy with all three games. Few months back I bought a nice little Famiclone as well as a loose copy of Blaster Master NES. Hoping to get cheap copies of MK1 (SNES or Gen), 2 (SNES), Trilogy (N64) and Monster Hunter (PS2).

One could watch the slow decline in these threads over the years, because of prices I suppose
For me personally, I got basically everything I wanted already so I'm just not buying anything anymore
I still come to these threads to see what other people are doing

I love these threads im just trying to buy a house, recently got married and we’re really focusing on removing any unnecessary expenses for as long as possible. I’m emulating whatever i don’t have until further notice unfortunately. I love these threads though, I fell down the absolute fucking rabbit hole of YouTubers who repair and restore these micros and just /vr/ stuff, it’s crazy how many of them there are it’s a whole community basically. You think I’d get tired of watching people continuity test and resolder speccys but here we are.

I've just gotten sick of the greedy scalpers. Occasionally I will find games in a charity shop/thrift store or something, but I'm not encouraging people who want an exorbitant amount of money for a 10 hour game.

Luckily I have enough in my collection to last me a lifetime. I was thinking of just modding some of my consoles too.

Bought:

** Atari 400 comp
** The Atari tape cassette reader
** A bunch of cassette games (one might be word proc?)
** Basic cartridge

Best part is that the comp has a real keyboard, not membrane keyboard which was common for Atari 400.
