Hey, /vr/. I know how much you love to play with other people across the Internet. And what better way than Netplaying. They're many emulators you could use. These are the ones I recommend are:
PJ64 1.7 + AQZ Netplay Input Plugin [N64] (Max Players: 4): http://www.mediafire.com/?m881zaxlasilxb2
Retroarch [Various] (Max Players: 2): http://themaister.net/retroarch.html
Mednafen [TurboGrafx-16 to Various] (Max Players: 2-5 (Depends on system)): http://forum.fobby.net/index.php?t=getfile&id=526& (MedGui frontend: http://sourceforge.net/projects/medgui/files/latest/download))
KegaFusion [Sega Master System, Genesis/Mega Drive, 32x, Game Gear and CD] (Max Players: 5): http://www.eidolons-inn.net/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=574

You need to be able to open ports if you want to host a game. If you need help with that you could look here: http://archive.foolz.us/vr/thread/786103/
If you have any questions you could ask in the thread or you could join us at #/vr/_Netplay at www.rizon.net (where you could also set up games with our users or just chat. We're usually ready to play at night).

We hope you have fun.

OP image needs some work. There is not enough contrast between the words and the background Green/black is not a good combo. Should have used white with black border instead.

>>1028134

Also add a space between each emulator as it would improve readability.

/vr/ is not /v/. Threads will last a few days. Bump daily or when they are in serious thread of 404'ing.

You know that most people on here will want to netplay snes right? why not list that too, and post a guide on how help people start it up

>You know that most people on here will want to netplay snes right?

There's a link to RetroArch which should handle that. It should handle it better to as it has GGPO inspired Netcode that reduces (or at least hides) lag.

>handle it better
you do know that ZSNES is completely lagless, and version 1.36 is the most compatible version, right?

I don't think you know a lot about netplay if you're recommending GGPO or something instead of ZSNES, which has been the standard for years.

Physically not possible. The best you can have is the illusion of lag free play. This can be done by a rollback mechanic, which is what GGPO employed.

I'm not. The reason using sage is because I'm making an off-topic post. You should know what sage means. Are you new?

Stop bumping your own thread with off-topic arguing.

This, kinda tripped on your own starter, OP. Better luck next time?

Also recommending Project64 1.7 over newer versions with better and more stable game support is pretty retarded too.

Ugh.

Just admit that your favorite little emulator is out dated, and there's better options out there. Get with the times and stop living in the past.

Everyone uses Mednafen and RetroArch for SNES netplay now. You can use zsnes if you want to, but everyone else have moved on.

>> No.1030271

To inferior alternatives? ZSNES is still the best for 2-player netplay.

>> No.1030273

>>1028914
ZSNES is actually good for online play, though. If this was a local meet up thread, you might have a point, but for netplay, it's a good choice.

I don't know what netplay communities you deal with, but ZSNES is still very actively used and popular in mine.
