Okay so I haven't played the game, but it looks decent but not great. It just looks slow from what I can tell. But it has interesting mechanics. Giving a charged range attack seems to help out a LOT in these kinds of games.

The SFC games made by Angel (Arc System Works) are the best. That's an arcade and 2 SFC belt scrollers (the arcade is separate and the SFC games aren't ports), two fighting games, and a puzzle game. The PCE-CD advneture game is pretty neat too. A few other untranslated PCE-CD games, and some other riff raff.

Mechanically for this game, I don't see a point in the area effect move that consumes your HP. It seems to be a panic move if you're cornered.

For two player, Venus seems to be the ideal support character. She has a whip meaning she can constantly bonk enemies to keep them from ganging up while the other player dishes out the main damage.

Shocked Arino san has this lack of familliarity with Sailor Moon, given he's a big manga hound and it was around when he was much younger. Maybe he was out of manga by his 20's?

I figured most Japanese would at least be able to tell who Sailor Moon is even if it's just from the merchandise even if they can't tell you anything else about the series.

Fun story about this game. Around 1996 I saw this game in the store but I didn't have a SFC so I didn't buy it. I also for some reason thought it was a PlayStation game, because of the era and how I didn't recognize the box shape. I had seen Sailor Moon season 1 on tv and loved the show.

My local game store was doing some imports at the time. In fact, I saw it when I bought my N64 and Mario 64. It was actually the Japanese version of Mario 64 but the game has so little dialogue it wasn't that impactful.

For the N64 there's only two bits of plastic blocking J-region games from working on NA region N64 consoles.

Or some of the live shows like the Live Special Compilation before 300th Episode, the 300th Episode 300 Minutes GCCX LIVE Special and Game Center CX mini Special. And the Quest of Ki torrent isn't being seeded.

I also lost my copy of the Nintendo Switch Experience 2017, with the parts where Arino appeared and the 2nd episode of Captain Tsubasa (Episode 142) has fallen off the face of the earth. (It's not in the raw torrent)

I hope you can get the files somehow. Try posting around the different communities and see if anyone has them. I'll check my external drive later and see if I have any. I know I have some of the live shows but I'm not sure if I have the ones you're looking for.

In general torrents suck so we shouldn't be relying on those. It's better to have direct downloads from multiple servers, with backups uploaded to Russian streaming sites and keep the torrent as a backup. Typically with smaller communities like this it's hard to gets seeds.

The show is about loving nostalgia for retro games. Ogawa makes no claims to being an elite gamer, but she played and really enjoyed this game a lot and this is her revelling in her nostalgia for Sailor Moon. As such, it's very much on par for the show. If they play a game for a manga series that Arino likes he might similarily do story explanations.

Ogawa likes Sailor Moon. Abe likes Resident Evil. Someone on the cast likes something.
