Best version of Resident Evil?

1) Resident Evil – PlayStation (1996)
2) Resident Evil – Windows (1996)
3) Resident Evil: Director’s Cut - PlayStation (1997)
4) Resident Evil – Sega Saturn (1997)
5) Resident Evil (Dual Shock Version) - PlayStation (1998)
6) Resident Evil: Deadly Silence – Nintendo DS (2006)

i really enjoyed DS's QOL additions. but i hated the 'knife battle' aspect and some other gimmicky touches. it really doesnt drag down the game as a whole however. I think it's best to go with the original for the 'troo' experience, or DS or director's cut.

Dual Shock has the spoopiest music. i'm not joking when i say it invokes a sense of dread

i started with the DS version but tank controls + me being anxious didn't let me play much
i feel awful to never experience this classic game, i'll have to try again.. sometime..

It is always this one guys. Its pretty much the exact same as the dual shock version but with the superior soundtrack.

The biggest problem with the DS version is that the music sounds like ass. They obviously couldn't fit a whole CD on a DS cart so they remade the OST in some shitty sounding MIDI

I'm playing the fan hack "True Director's Cut", which adds back in the censored stuff. It's for the Dualshock Director's Cut, but you can get it with the original game's soundtrack.
