Advent Children design is actually closer to the original Cloud design, it was the personality changes that sucked balls and you can blame that on Kingdom Hearts for smashing him together with Vincent and getting both wrong.

Also OP if you go to play it on PC try and find files from a Yamaha sound card. People said the PC version sounded horrible back then, but really its just that it only sounded good on like 3 sound cards nobody fucking had.

Wrong. The PC version, both old and the re-release, had music in plain MIDI. The PSX synth is patented, they couldn't just record the music off it, so they threw the midi files there and let the common midi synth play it.

Most people's hardware doesn't even play MIDI, it's more often than not emulated in Windows. And even if the hardware does play MIDI, like some Soundblaster cards, it still has nothing to do with the PSX synth the songs were arranged for, so it still sound all over the place.

Mods for the PC release of FFVII tend to look worse than the unmodified game because modders don't understand or care about tone. Custom character models look out of place in the prerendered environments, custom menus are too sleek for the rugged setting, custom textures are desaturated as fuck, it's all completely retarded.

For PC, there's a mod that supports even .flac tracks, so you can get the whole damn OST in .flac and use it in your game, making it sound actually better than it does on the PSX.
