It wasn't planned that way, trust me.
Bought them in Japan, had trouble putting in my shipment details. There was a button "Click here for shipment through a service that repackages the goods for export". Did that.
They took the delivery and repackaged it. The price went up.
Then the German tax man said i had to pay import tax. The price went up.
Then the delivery company took a fee for giving the tax to the tax man. The price went up.
In the end it was 52€.

I don't mind that the deal went bad for me, i find the buttons nice and 32€ premium doesn't kill people that have a steady income. Learned a lesson though.

I've had the ROG Ally for a bit, like a lot for the most part. It's made me realize that every emulation handheld NEEDS 120hz, VRR displays. When you can just turn vsync off and enable "sync to content refresh rate" in retroarch, you reduce input delay to incredibly minuscule amounts while still getting silky smooth scrolling. Emulation on 60hz, non VRR panels just has too much input delay, and the mitigation features available like runahead and frame delay either have issues or just have too much performance overhead to make decent use of on most handhelds. I'd pretty much consider PS2 emulation unplayable with how much input delay it typically has, but on the ally you can just turn off vsync and it's awesome, good enough for me to comfortable do a run of Gradius V

Unfortunately the dpad is pretty shit. It's like there's always got to be at least one catch with every fucking handheld

Thankfully the GBC was only $42 and has been the lowest I have seen a good conditioned GBC go for in a while. That's the chinkest thing I've seen in a while, anbernig takes dumb redditors for granted. The only selling points are T618, which they'll charge a premium for because vertical exclusivity, and the thicker edges making it a little less likely to shatter the screen from a fall.

There's no wrong option. Valve is selling refurbished Decks for $319 - $520sh so if you want the best bang for your buck, a refurbished 512GB model will do you fine if you just want something that works out of the box.
If you love to DIY though then Valve also partnered with Ifixit as an official vendor for replacement parts. You can buy a cheap 64gb model, buy the upgraded anti-glare screen at $100 dollars later on, and upgrade the internal storage that way. It all depends on whether you want it now and like to tinker/buy stuff later, or just buy a model that has it all right away.

Back in school I had a female friend who literally called me her "gay friend" although I'm certainly heterosexual, just not masculine enough on women's eyes i guess
It happened again at university and it happened again at work. Women just don't see me as a man. I'm just a joke. Don't know exactly how to explain it or what is it exactly that I am "lacking" compared to the average male, I am not particularly androgynous, I don't lift but do work out since i run marathons.
I had one bro call this fuck friend he had so we would have a threesome and even when she was drunk as shit she still avoided me and I just went to sleep on the side while she and my bro had sex the whole night. He apologized afterwards but honestly women avoiding me is just a force of nature at this point so I wasn't even mad.
The closest I've gotten to a legit romantic relationship was with an admitted lesbian who somehow had an easier time approaching me because of the aforementioned lack of masculinity. Needless to say that also ended badly.
Dunno man, some people just aren't meant to be successful at romance. Like, everyone and their mothers just *exists* and they get gfs. I simply don't. I feel kinda sorry for my mom, I don't want her to blame herself or feel like she did something wrong.

Went to a CeX and traded a Huawei tablet I hadn't used in a long-ass time and some other junk for a 2DS XL in mint condition. The resale value of those Huawei devices without Google services is a joke. I had it listed for waaaay below market price for a few days and still no one would buy it. And the SoC was too weak for PS2 emulation, or at least the games I care about. I think I made the right decision. I really like this transparent and gold Pikachu case 2DS XL came with. Apparently it's $35 by itself on eBay. Oh, and it comes with 2 years of warranty.

I don't own a switch, but I've played my brother's in the past, and it felt like the thing was going to fall apart in my hands. It just feels too wobbly and unstable. No, both cards are actual sd cards. I didn't have these problems with jelos but I had to switch to arkos because Saturn on jelos was virtually unplayable. I have to wonder if it's because the arkos build for my device is actually specified for a different device, or if it's just something that can hopefully be fixed in a future update, but until then I'm stuck with a mildly inconvenient experience. I'm just glad someone told me about 'the fixer' sd card trick when I thought it was bricked for real.

I'm really hoping Koriki for the RG35xx picks up steam, because Garlic just isn't getting enough needed features. For fuck's sake Garlic can't even search for roms without installed an app, and the app doesn't properly integrate with adding favorites or stuff like that.

I heard the rg dpad described as stiff and saw it give false diagonals quite easily in a video of contra being played, where the miyoo barely had an issue. The rattle was also a turn off. I do want rg too now though... I didnt do my due diligence and thought forums and YouTube had comparisons had covered it all, Some stuff wasn't mentioned. like otg gamepad support, multiplayer on the one device is neat.

Unless you're intentionally rocking the down button back and forth or always press the down button at an odd angle, you aren't going to be seeing false diagonals like in that contra video. It's an unrealistic test, as no one mashes their thumb like that.
The rattle doesn't show up when the RG35XX is in your pocket and you're walking around, though if you take it with you while jogging it'd be annoying.
That particular version of the comparison table was first posted Wed 26 Jul 2023 16:08:18. There was also a version 2 that lasted a day or two before being updated, and the very first, tiny comparison table came from reddit.

I guess it simply gets bad rep because of the sequels, and because it's a bit of a cashgrab series. I agree, NSMB1 is great. I 100%ed it and had fun doing it. The level design is really your A grade effort, they didn't cheap out there. The only real downside is that it's based on SMB1, so no flying, no stuff that came in SMB2 / 3 / World and so on.

If you want a serious answer, it's because Nintendo wants to be like Disney. They want to have this empire, this treasure trove of old content that people will continuously pay money for. Actively. Disney's got that Disney Plus monthly service, and even Nintendo themselves have a similar service with the Switch monthly online thing. However, Nintendo does not have the massive catalogue of content Disney does, and they know excitement for their back catalogue isn't infinitely sustainable, so they trickle out hardly any games for their subscription services to try to maintain a sense of artificial excitement. And it works, Nintendo is making that good money.

No, it's the speakers, anon. They're wired out of phase. The only solution is to crack out the soldering iron, which for me isn't an issue, but I can imagine that being a pretty nasty surprise for most people.
Also none of the buttons worked at first because a wire had come loose on its magical journey from China. But that's not his fault. He'd even taped it down. Actually, he's taped everything down. So much tape. Must be paranoid, I guess.
