Was a huge fan of the PS1 games, but something was just off about this one, I could tell without playing it. I wisely didn't ask my parents for it and to this day have never played it
All of the PS2 Crash games looked wrong from reading articles about them, just sovless I guess

I didn't even like Warped and this copied heavily from that game. I always assumed Naughty Dog was done with Crash after the second game.

The power loader was the worst vehicle any of these games ever did

I enjoyed it, though I guess I can understand why some people don't like it very much. Different studio, more focus on vehicles, wonky character models here and there, etc. The soundtrack is great though, and I like some of the cool lighting and particle effects it had for its time

I'm not OG Crash fan so I would never understand what exactly fans are dissatisfied with. I played Twinsanity and while it wasn't flawless, it was a huge improvement over PS1 games.

It's just a really tiresome set of obstacle courses and your only point of playing is ingraining inputs in your mind so you can be rewarded with gems to unlock more gems. I do enjoy it to certain degree but most of the time it's just pure masochism without substance.

Twinsanity offers more collectathon-y approach, you can explore levels more freely and it feels more entertaining to play.

Note that opinion comes from a person who grew up with N-Tranced and GBA Spyro, then played Twinsanity and only then PS1 Crash. So you can probably just disregard it

I remember asking for this game and a PS2 for Christmas in 2001 but mumberg got me Jak and Daxter instead. She made the better choice desu. Similar in 1995 I asked for Streets of Rage 3 but mumberg got me Xmen 2 Clone Wars instead which is a much better game. How did she know?

Nah it's just the same old PSX Crash but worse. The game came out when the formula was essentially exhausted and for a more powerful system so most people remember it way worse than it actually was, I agree it's mediocre but I would still play it a million times over 7th gen era Crash.

This is pretty good.

It's not THAT bad. Literally generic platform but with Crash. I can get why the fans of the first two Crash dislike it but it's not like those games were that good anyway. If you're into the genre it's a decent game.

The biggest bugs in Twinsanity are reverse sequence breaking
The game measures level progression based on invisible triggers within the levels, which don't despawn once you activate them.
And due to the open-ended level design it's very possible and sometimes very very easy to accidently jump back to the beginning of a level, or worse an earlier level, and have to repeat it all over again.

didn't like it when it first came out, but thought it was alrightafter giving it a second chance much later (with greatest hits version). there are way worse crash games out there. this is one is middle of the road; there's fun to be had if you're willing to meet the game half-way.
