and I think it's great. The only downside is that despite the limited amount of recovery item, it is still very much possible to safely grind to victory and take away all the tension. They should have limited the exp/lvl gain one way or another which is way Dream Master, a game heavily inspired by it, did, and it worked well in that game.

Abaddon: Princess of the Decay is much better imo, which makes sense since it's a spiritual successor. Even though it has sex scenes, it's still a fantastic RPG.

For the most part I like the enemy battle art in Dream Master better than in Sweet Home. Sure in Sweet Home they are more detailed, but most of them are extremely generic.
In Dream Master the enemies art are more original and their poses are often dynamic and intice imagination, look at the cyclop and the lady-vampire for instance

outside of battles Sweet Home wins though, there is no contest, but that is also due to how gameplay works in Dream Master with tiles being hidden by fog which as a result means they could detail the world less

Sweet Home still looks stunning for a 89 game
