Well... that didn't happen, and unfortunately i've had to deal with alot of IRL shit this past month, but i should have some good time this next week to finally finish this hack up and get SimCity Mouse into your eager hands: i've come very far the past couple months, i've worked really hard to get it right, and the wait will be worth it!!!
though i have a somewhat nasty console-only bug to deal with that affects tile loading positions of graphics in menus that only happens sometimes (which if you have ever debugged anything you know that Shit That Only Happens Sometimes is about the worst shit you can deal with) compounded on the fact that the emulator works perfectly and it only appears on a real console where debugging tools are non-existent. It is making it really hard to pin down and figure out the problem... but we'll get it right so help me god

There's a bunch of choices. The community standard is HuC - it's based on a 1980s compiler and rather dated as a result, but fairly mature, and what most homebrew is made in. There also seems to be a recent resurgence of people trying to adapt newer assemblers (WLA-DX) and compilers (KickC, LLVM-MOS) to the platform.

> (i wanna) colorize Gameboy games
it's not just "make this that color" with a mouse press, it's a true hacking project. there is unique ASM code in every game that assigns a set of monochrome palettes to every sprite / tile in the original GB. Colorizing involves finding, learning and expanding this code with a stylistic eye to suit your unique vision of how the game should look.
> (i wanna) learn
Try these:

I've gone off the deep end and would like recommendations. I'd would really appreciate romhacks or homebrews that contain playable furry characters or fat women, nsfw or sfw. I already have BWG's super peach's adventure, Girthbound, and a sonic SMW romhack where you play as a green bird.

New Vegas still has issues, but it's much better than it was at 1.0 and I think it's a pretty good hack now. But despite what the patch note says, Gourmet Race only works properly on Snes9x--he must have fucked up something in between versions.
>>10019637
Most of the work was done on /v/, but the threads got moved here because people wanted to playtest and OP was taking too long with his bosses. Despite that, there's still some nasty glitches, like how the Haimari has a seemingly random chance of crashing the game, and exiting and re-entering the Cancer Lord fight puts you in a shitty softlock where the fight won't start and you have to reset the game. As >>10019639 said, it's technically unfinished, and I don't think it will be properly completed. You could tell by the end of development that OP just wanted to be done with it. The closest you'll get is that Yellowswerve and Art Anon, two of the contributors, are making their own version to fix the retarded design choices the hack is still littered with, but they don't know ASM, so don't expect extra characters and bossrush. However, boosteranon, who knows ASM, expressed interest in helping, so who knows?

Open a second instance of the editor program and start a new file on it.
Use copy and paste to put the tiles from the source rom into the new file wherever you need them to be to work on them. Once youve done your work, you can copy your new tiles back into the rom wherever they should be. You can also do graphics from scratch this way and make a mockup scene then paste the data on to the relevant tiles.

I will try that. Right now, my method is to take a screenshot of the tilemap, create the "line art" of the new graphics in Photoshop, arrange those new graphics as they appear in the screenshot and finally import them into the original tilemap.
