beat most Street Fighter, Marvel, Capcom fighting games on hardest difficulty, no death, with plenty of characters.

Might learn some samsho next.

Am I a 'gamer'?
Whenever I get into video games I only play one game for months [or years]. When I get tired of it I stop "gaming" altogether. Take a year or two off, until I find another game to get into.

This confuses my friends because they see I play a game 2-3hours a day and think I'm familiar with all the gaming news, or that I'm into "retro gaming" or into "pc gaming" or "a nintendo-fan" and think I play other similar games/genres/etc... But I don't do any of that or care about tangential gaming shit.

It's always been like this. I never understood the appeal of jumping games, playing a different one every week or month, playing 5 different games at the same time, or trying to make a list of "beaten" games or "100% runs" or collecting game achieves like trophies.
I prefer quality over quantity, and if a game has quality then it's worth playing a lot and getting good at. And most of the time there really isn't more than 1 or 2 games to enjoy learning.

they're okay, but why not just play fighting games instead, even against the CPU they're more dynamic and interesting.
