Kester isn't available in my country, and a roll of the stuff imported is fairly expensive.
Ever tried MG Chemicals' solder wire? Their products are relatively well stocked by comparison, although I can't get my hands on that no-clean flux everyone recommends.

Also, in terms of more generalised equipment is a PCB vice a better investment than a third-hand? And is it worth getting a fume vacuum?
