A lot of Gamecube and N64 heavy hitters have already pulled back considerably.
I think last summer was just the perfect storm of people stuck at home fomo'ing back into their childhood games combined with an utter lack of people clearing out their storage and selling their old stuff.

You're probably right though, the genuinely rare and coveted games probably aren't falling any time soon. Maybe they'll plateau for a while but I doubt they'll fall any.
