Thanks, my first time showing it. I'd like the SNES games, but at this point I'm having more fun tracking down the games than playing them. Everything I have I've found locally through hunting apart from a couple that were gifts. I almost buckled and dropped $120 on the Neo Geo Color game when I saw it in a reseller store but I couldn't justify it when it meant I'd have to buy a NGCP to play it and the power battles games are on the anniversary collection. And I emulate the arcade versions anyway


I am tempted to see if I can collect me some Ys though, got all the PSP ones and the vita one. But at the minute the only system I don't own is SNES.

I'd fucking love a legit Wily Wars though, I'm wary of bootlegs.

What is your definition of what makes game retro? The 1st and 2nd generation are the only generations that don't bleed into the 2000's so I find those retro as opposed to the rest. There is no way the rules will change to that, but I want to know what everyone thinks what retro means, since there is no clear definition.

Quite honestly it depends on the system. I can play an NES or SNES game or a Genesis game just fine on an emulator, but something like a Game Boy or an N64 game don't feel right -- the former because I like to play handheld games in my hands (which is the only reason why I use the 3DS VC over playing them on my laptop), the latter not so much because of emulation faults but more because it feels wrong playing an N64 game without the N64 controller. Before I'm told to get a USB controller I should mention I'm a poorfag.


I don't consider emulation to be in any way bad, unless the specific game has major problems when emulating. I don't think 100% accuracy is needed, but if there's a major issue, then unless that's the only way you can play it, you should try to seek a physical copy of the game. If there aren't any major problems with accuracy, though, then feel free to emulate.

So I recently beat Rockman 4 Minus Infinity, and I have to say, I loved it more than any of the canon Megaman games. It was absolutely astounding, all the things that were put into that game. I had recently finished a runthrough of most of the canon Megaman classic games, and it seemed like every enemy from the NES and GB games were in this game somewhere. The new gimmicks were all good, and I can't think of a single stage I didn't like.

I understand that RM4MI is one of the best hacks ever and that I shouldn't expect anything of the same quality, but, are there any other Megaman hacks that one would recommend to someone who played the whole series?

Ma nigga. You played the sequel? It's in runes but that would only matter if you didn't know how to play. It's a great sequel, rather than just being a 15x15 puzzle it's four 15x15 quadrants, making a 30x30 picture in the end.

The final puzzle is sixteen 15x15 puzzles making a 60x60.

Hey guys, I totes made all three of those terms, my Dad at Nintendo gave me the ideas.


But, I think the other terms came about because some of us didn't watch Power Rangers. I personally prefer the term ma/vr/ick or /vr/other.
