I rented FFIII for the SNES in 1997. As it was a rental it didn't come with an instruction manual. However, you could press X on the controller and view the movelist for all of Sabin's abilities in the status menus. I completed this section of the game on my first try.

Why wasn't OP able to? I think we can conclude that he does not know how to read. There are also people who can recognize words but fail to understand their meaning when written alongside other words. It is clear that they do not know how to write either.

Video games are children's toys that are used as a reward when the child has done well in school. However, OP's parents have allowed him to play despite neglecting his studies. OP is innocent in this. Please blame OP's parents for failing to punish OP for poor use of the English language.

Rather than reward OP by allowing him to play FFVI he should be given Final Fantasy Mystic Quest until his literacy improves.
