Daikoukai Jidai Gaiden is a direct sequel/spinoff to Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. It only features two protagonists, allegedly so that they could go further in-depth with the storylines. It features extensive cameos from the original cast. One of the protagonists, Salvador, is the son of Khayr Ad-Din, AKA Redbeard, king of the corsairs and a major antagonist in the first game. His storyline gets much darker than those of the six protagonists in part two. The game features updated an updated tide and weather system which is meant to be more accurate than the previous game. Islamic regions will also not let you pray in their churches anymore, and Chinese ports are closed off to outsiders in an attempt to be more historically accurate. The coverart is by some famous furfag.
